Thursday 8 “Saving Face” (HBO 6:30 p.m.) Fresh off its Best Documentary (Short Subject) win at the Academy Awards, this 40-minute film debuts on HBO. It’s about a doctor who returns to his native India to help women who have been victims of acid attacks—which, evidently, is pretty common in India. “Japan Tsunami: Tales of Terror” (TLC 7 p.m.) Relax, TLC. It was a major disaster, but there were no ghostly children with long black hair crawling out of TV sets. Friday 9 “Fred: The Show” (Nickelodeon 6 p.m.) There’s a Fred TV show? Why did no one warn us about this? There I was, casually flipping through the channels last Friday night, when—bam!—Fred Figglehorn all over my flat screen. Don’t let this happen to you. Avoid this channel and any ones near it for the duration of the evening. Better safe than sorry. “Comedy Bang Bang” (IFC 8:30 p.m.) Check out a sneak preview of the new sketch show starring writer/performer Scott Aukerman (“Mr. Show with Bob and David”) and musician/comedian Reggie Watts. Saturday 10 Game Change (HBO 7 p.m.) Julianne Moore stars as the hockey-mom-turned-failed-vice-presidential-candidate-turned-talk-show-hack Sarah Palin. “Them Idiots Whirled Tour” (CMT 8 p.m.) Redneck comedians Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy trade their “Blue Collar” ID for the more accurate label “Them Idiots.” “An Idiot Abroad: The Bucket List” (Science 8 p.m.) Karl Pilkington returns home after filling out his round-the-world “bucket list” and tells Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant what he learned. My guess? Not a damn thing. Sunday 11 Winx Club Movie: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom (Nickelodeon 10 a.m.) The bastard children of Tinkerbell and some Bratz dolls get their own movie. It’s a spin-off of the uncomfortably sexy Italian cartoon that no adult male should ever admit to watching. The Undefeated (Reelz 6 p.m.) In a slick bit of counter-programming to HBO’s Game Change , Reelz presents the glowingly hagiographic documentary about Sarah Palin that nobody wanted to watch last year. “Shahs of Sunset” (Bravo 8 p.m.) See, Muslims are just like us: rich, spoiled and terribly annoying. Monday 12 “Navajo Cops” (National Geographic 8 p.m.) Like “COPS,” but more Navajo. Tuesday 13 “Fashion Star” (KOB-4 8:30 p.m.) Yup, it’s a rip-off of “Project Runway.” The lawsuit-dodging twist? You can buy the fashions you see online the very next day. My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 3 (MTV 11 p.m.) MTV’s reality-show-turned-spoofy-horror-movie-series rates a third installment. Wednesday 14 “Revenge for Real” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) ABC crassly replaces “Revenge” for a couple of weeks with this sensationalized “documentary” about a real-life murder in the Hamptons. Do we get “Once Upon a Time for Real” next? “Monster Man” (Syfy 9 p.m.) This docu-reality series takes us behind the scenes of a Hollywood prop-building studio owned by wacky-cranky special effects guy Cleve Hall and his family.
