Love Bad Moves?– On April 6 and 7, the Alibi and Guild Cinema will present the first annual (we can only hope) “ Worst Film Festival Ever.” This two-day cinematic stinkathon will feature a steaming pile of the absolute worst films with which the federal government will allow us to torture audiences. The event starts on Friday with 1937’s drug scare stinker Marijuana: Assassin of Youth ( 5 p.m.), followed by 1957’s monster bird flick The Giant Claw (6:30 p.m.) and 1966’s legendary horror oater Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter (8 p.m.). The evening caps off with a unique live film screening. Albuquerque’s own Mother Road theater troupe will be redubbing the 1968 Italian film King of Kong Island , complete with brand-new comic dialogue–which will undoubtedly make the film’s original “mad scientists attack jungle girls with remote-controlled gorillas” plot even more preposterous.Saturday kicks off with 1951’s jaw-dropping, Italian-made, non-Disney-approved fairy tale freakout Seven Dwarves Rescue Snow White (4 p.m.), followed by 1953’s immortal Robot Monster (5:45 p.m.) and Ed Wood’s mind-bending 1953 cross-dressing drama Glen or Glenda (7 p.m.). Repeat performances of The Giant Claw (8:30 p.m.) and King of Kong Island: Dub Edition (10 p.m.) round out the festival, in case you missed ’em the first night.In addition to the films themselves, there will be bad movie trailers, groovy prize giveaways and shocking guest appearances throughout the weekend. Tickets for individual films can be picked up the night of the screenings for a lousy $5. If you’re in it for the long haul, you can pick up an all-festival pass, good for as many screenings as you can tolerate for a mere $15. There are a limited number of passes available, so pick one up right away at the Guild box office (3405 Central NE).

Free Flicks For All!– Warehouse 21 in collaboration with The Santa Fe Film Center is about to launch Monday Movie Madness, a once-a-month film screening of classic favorites intended for kids of all ages. Monday Movie Madness will occur on the last Monday of every month starting on March 26. The film for this month is Richard Donner’s much-beloved 1985 cult comedy/adventure The Goonies . The show begins at 7 p.m. and is absolutely free thanks to Santa Fe’s City Teen Night program. The Santa Fe Film Center is located at 1616 St. Michael’s Drive.
