Friends of Film, Video and Arts (a nonprofit organization associated with Harwood Art Center) has announced plans for its third annual filmmaker showcase. This year, the showcase is titled “LOL Friends of Film Funny Film Fest,” which gives you a pretty good idea of what it’s looking for. FoFVA encourages filmmakers of all ages to submit humorous films in one of three categories: 1 to 3 minutes, 4 to 7 minutes or 7 to 15 minutes. If you’re lucky, your film will be chosen for screening in the LOLFoFFFF—scheduled to be held Friday, March 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at UNM’s Continuing Education building. Deadline for submitting films is this coming Wednesday, Feb. 3. Films can be mailed or hand-delivered to: “Taking Care of Business, 428 Louisiana SE #A3, Albuquerque, N.M. 87108.” There is a $5 entry fee per film. For submission forms and tech requirements, log on to filmvideoarts.org.
