Possibly different touristy things than they would have done had they not been kidnapped by Travel Channel. “Twenty Twelve” (BBC America 7 p.m.) The Olympics are actually happening in London, so it’s about time BBC America started going nuts over them. “Anger Management” (FX 10 p.m.) Here it is, the one episode of Charlie Sheen’s new sitcom that you will watch out of morbid curiosity. “Brand X With Russell Brand” (FX 12 a.m.) Well, they gave Charlie Sheen a show, why not Russell Brand? Any other sex-addicted former druggies out there looking for a TV show? Apparently, FX is handing them out. Friday 29 “Chasing UFOs” (National Geographic 7 p.m.) Frankly I’m a little bored with over-excitable, self-described “experts” carrying high-def cameras, night-vision goggles and digital recorders not finding ghosts or Bigfoot. Can’t we send some of them out to not find UFOs? … Gosh, thanks, National Geographic. “Multiple SIDosis” / The Sid Saga (TCM 12 a.m.) Sid Laverents was a legend in the underground film scene. An amateur DIY tinkerer his entire life, Sid filmed his multi-exposure musical “Multiple SIDosis” in 1970. He completed work on his epic autobiography The Sid Saga in 2003 when he was in his 80s. Both are pretty much unlike anything else you’ve seen. Saturday 30 Bigfoot (Syfy 7 p.m.) Sometimes you just gotta get back to the basics. No Yeticonda, no Piranhasquatch. Just good old Bigfoot … fighting Danny Bonaduce from “The Partridge Family” and Barry Williams from “The Brady Bunch.” Sunday 1 “BET Awards 2012” (BET 6 p.m.) Samuel L. Jackson hosts. So don’t be trying to start shit … Chris Brown, Drake: I’m looking at you two. “Shark Wranglers” (History 8 p.m.) Yup, them sharks ain’t gonna wrangle themselves. Monday 2 Marina Abramović: The Artist Is Present (HBO 7 p.m.) The famed Serbian performance artist prepares for a major retrospective of her work at the Museum of Modern Art. … And by “prepares,” I mean, “covers herself in Vaseline and clips her toenails while sitting on a beach ball and repeating the word ‘strawberries’ for six hours.” Tuesday 3 “Michael Wood’s Story of England” (KNME-5 7 p.m.) The noted historian takes us from the Romans to the Normans in the opening salvo of his new learnin’ series. “Haunted Highway” (Syfy 8 p.m.) Um, when did Jack Osbourne become a paranormal investigator? Also, why? Wednesday 4 “A Capitol Fourth” (KNME-5 7 p.m.) PBS gets doubly patriotic this year, throwing in a tribute to the U.S. Olympic team. This would be a good opportunity for you to start warming up your “USA!” chant. “Macy’s 4 th of July Fireworks Spectacular” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) Regis Philbin comes out of retirement to host the hell out of this mother. “Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular” (KRQE-13 9 p.m.) Classical music sounds so much better when things are blowing up.
