Despite the fact that “Breaking Bad” has ended (and “Killer Women” has been canceled), it looks like New Mexico is once again flush with television productions. The New Mexico Film Office says at least two TV series and one prospective TV pilot are slated to shoot here over the summer. “Hieroglyph” is a fantasy adventure set in ancient Egypt, which will shoot 13 episodes for 20th Century Fox Television. “Manhattan” is an hour-long historical drama for WGN and is based on the race to build the world’s first atomic bomb in Los Alamos. Most recently it was announced that “The Messengers” would begin shooting soon for The CW. The series focuses on a mysterious object which crashes to Earth, killing a number of unconnected strangers—but the strangers are soon resurrected with a mission to prevent the impending Apocalypse. So, from the looks of it, we’ll be seeing a lot of New Mexico on the fall TV schedule.
