The theater will screen Price’s self-proclaimed “favorite” movie, Samuel Fuller’s 1950’s Western saga The Baron of Arizona. After the screening a panel of experts including Victoria Price and Peter Fuller will discuss the late actor’s legacy. Reel World: Good Gandhi Good Gandhi

Gandhi’s Gift is the first major documentary about Mahatma Gandhi made in the US—by local New Mexico filmmakers, as it turns out. It was filmed on location around the world at various sites important in Gandhi’s life including India, South Africa and the U.K. The film covers the famed spiritual leader’s final tragic and triumphant years of 1944 to 1948. The documentary is scheduled to be broadcast on PBS in 2017, but Guild Cinema will screen the film this Sunday, Nov. 6, at 1pm. New Mexico-based director/co-producer Kell Kearns and co-producer Cynthia Lukas (who worked together on In Remembrance of Martin and Rumi Returning) will be at the screening to introduce the film and to give a post-film Q&A. Tickets are $10 at the Guild box office (3405 Central NE).
