Famed ski and snowboarding filmmaker Warren Miller passed away in January of this year. That hasn’t stopped his company from releasing Miller’s latest name-branded winter sports documentary. Warren Miller’s Face of Winter (the 69th annual feature film from Warren Miller Entertainment) hits the KiMo Theatre (423 Central Ave. NW) on Saturday, Dec. 8 starting at 7pm. Footage of new and veteran athletes carving up the slopes in Switzerland, British Columbia, Alaska, Chile, New Zealand and more is featured. The film also includes a number of tributes to Miller himself. Great doorprizes are up for grabs at the screening, including Millennium Passes, Peak Plus Cards, high performance rentals and local ski area tickets. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. You can pick up them up at kimotickets.com.
