“The Dick Cavett Show” (TCM 6:30 p.m.) Every Thursday in October, TCM is featuring some nifty double features, pairing a classic movie star interview from the old “Dick Cavett Show” with one of the star’s key films. Tonight, Cavett chats it up with Katharine Hepburn, followed by Heburn’s 1938 comedy Bringing Up Baby .

Friday 20

Mark of the Vampire (TCM 6 p.m.) It’s Blood Lust night on TCM, featuring a quadruple shot of vampire flicks. First is 1935’s Mark of the Vampire with Bela Lugosi. Lugosi comes back in 1944’s Return of the Vampire , followed by 1932’s Vampyr: Der Traum des Allan Grey and 1970’s House of Dark Shadows .

Casper’s Scare School (Cartoon Network 8 p.m.) Here’s a brand-new CG cartoon featuring the world’s friendliest ghost. Frankly, I was always more of a Wendy the Good Little Witch fan. … Oops, I’ve said too much.

Saturday 21

“M1-5” (A&E 10 a.m.) A&E blows out the entire fourth season of this exciting British crime/spy series in one afternoon marathon. Fans, set your TiVo.

“World Series: Game 1” (KASA-2 5:30 p.m.) It’s the New York Mets (or the St. Louis Cardinals) at Detroit. Just so long as you boys wrap it up in time for “Treehouse of Horrors” on “The Simpsons.”

Sunday 22

The Initiation of Sarah (ABC Family 6 p.m.) ABC has had a fun time remaking junky TV movies. (In 2000, they redid Satan’s School for Girls .) Here, they give new life to the 1978 made-for-TV flick about a sorority gal who gets revenge supernatural style. Morgan Fairchild is in the cast, which should give you some idea of how seriously they’re taking this.

“Celebrity Paranormal Project” (VH1 8 p.m.) The problem, you see, is that America has far too many C-list celebrities. What to do with all of them? Short of confining them to nature preserves in Montana, TV networks must keep up an unending supply of reality show vehicles to employ them. Here, Donna D’Errico, Hal Sparks, Gary Busey, Jenna Morasca and Toccara Jones investigate hauntings at the Waverly Hills Sanitarium. Sounds fine, but once again, I must protest the labeling of reality show participants (Morasca from “Survivor” and Jones from “America’s Next Top Model”) as “celebrities” in order to cast them in celebrity reality shows.

Monday 23

“Bob Geldof in Africa” (Travel Channel, 7 p.m.) I admire you, Bob, I really do. I realize you were the first. But nowadays, you can’t go anywhere in Africa without running into some well-meaning celebrity. Try not to trip over Bono or Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie or Madonna while you’re there.
