Thursday 20

”Survivor”
(KRQE-13 7 p.m.) CBS strands a new bunch of survivors in a 15 th season of “Survivor.” This time, they’re in China. As long as they stay away from the toothpaste, the cat food and the Thomas the Tank Engine toys, everything should be all right.

Friday 21

”Painkiller Jane”
(Sci-Fi 8 p.m.) The short-lived series comes to an end tonight. Sorry, fans. If it makes you feel any better, there are nude pictures of Kristanna Loken online.

Saturday 22

“D.L. Hughley: Unapologetic”
(HBO 11 p.m.) The standup/sitcom star dishes out some uncensored comic observations.

Sunday 23

“60 Minutes’
(CBS 6 p.m.) Can you believe this is the 40 th season premiere? I think it started out a radio drama.

”The Simpsons” (FOX 7 p.m.) In the 18 th season premiere, Homer gets addicted to private jet travel and hires a life coach (Stephen Colbert) to send him up the corporate ladder.

Monday 24

“Chuck”
(KOB-4 7 p.m.) A computer nerd downloads an entire database of government secrets into his brain and is assigned a sexy female secret agent as his bodyguard. Sounds plausible.

“The Big Bang Theory” (KRQE-13 7:30 p.m.) A pair of seriously nerdy roommates set their sights on a pretty new neighbor, forcing geek viewers to choose between action drama (“Chuck”) and situation comedy (“Big Bang”) in this timeslot.

“Heroes” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) It’s been four months since the events of last spring’s season finale. What have our heroes been up to now that the world has been saved?

“Journeyman” (KOB-4 9 p.m.) A cop (Kevin McKidd from “Rome”) is experiencing some major flashbacks. Seriously, the guy is traveling back in time, reuniting with his long-dead fiancée. Is he supposed to save her? And if he does, is that gonna tick off the wife he has in his other, modern-day reality?

Tuesday 25

“Reaper” (KWBQ-19 8 p.m.) A young slacker (Bret Harrison) gets a job as a bounty hunter for Satan (Ray Wise), tracking down souls who have escaped from hell. … Eh, beats Wendy’s.

“Cane” (KRQE-13 9 p.m.) Jimmy Smits gets all soapy with this nighttime drama about a rich clan of Caribbean sugar cane moguls doing evil things like trying to kill the guy who invented Splenda.

Wednesday 26

“Bionic Woman”
(KOB-4 8 p.m.) It looks like a lot of fun, but I’m still curious how the Bionic Woman suddenly got more pull than the Six Million Dollar Man.

“Life” (KOB-4 9 p.m.) A police detective spends a long time in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. He gets out and is handed a whole bunch of money, but he goes back to work solving crimes anyway.

“Dirty Sexy Money” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) Peter Krause from “Six Feet Under” stars as the newly recruited lawyer for a filthy rich clan of New York socialites (presided over by ’70s sex symbols Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh).
