Thursday 1

“My Name is Earl” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) The producers of “Earl” give us a follow-up to one of their most popular episodes, “Our ‘COPS’ Is On.” Yup, the “COPS” TV show is back in Camden County and chronicling the lives of its various ne’er-do-well residents.

“Break It Down” ( National Geographic 7:30 p.m.) NG appeals to the destructive, toy-stomping kid in all of us with this new series filming demolition teams around the world as they do their jobs. Tonight, a 24,000-ton bridge gets smashed to bits! Enjoy.

Friday 2

“Fun Shui” (HGTV 7:30 p.m.) Stephanie McWilliams is full of ideas on how to get your love, health and wealth back on track–by decorating . It’s not Feng Shui, it’s Fun Shui! … I have a feeling if I met Stephanie in real life, I’d have to smack her.

Saturday 3

“WE Special: Abducted by UFOs” (WE 5 p.m.) When did Women’s Entertainment and Oxygen become the depositories for all things ghost or flying saucer-related?

“Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who” (VH1 7 p.m.) In my book, any band with a member who died of a drug overdose is deserving of a rock ’n’ roll biography.

Sunday 4

“The Amazing Race” (KRQE-13 ?) I recently noted that “Viva Laughlin” would be either the most interesting new show on the fall schedule or off the air after two episodes. Turns out it was the latter. As a substitute, we get a 12 th season of “The Amazing Race.” … Eh, could be worse.

“The Simpsons” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) It’s “Treehouse of Terror” time. Better late than never, as always. For you Romans out there keeping score, this marks the XVIII th annual outing.

The Family Guy : 100 th Episode Special” (KASA-2 7:30 p.m.) One hundred episodes and I still don’t find it funny. The show does have its loyal fans, though, so heads-up if you’re in that camp.

Monday 5

“New Mexico Shootout” (Golf Channel 7 p.m.) Golf! From New Mexico! … That’s all I got.

Tuesday 6

“Election ’07: G4 Viewers’ Choice” (G4 1 p.m.) G4 celebrates Election Day by letting viewers go online (www.g4tv.com) and choose each and every show that airs today. Now that’s democracy in action!

“NOVA: Sputnik Declassified” (KNME-5 8 p.m.) Tonight’s “NOVA” explores the building, launch and cultural impact of the famed Soviet satellite from 1957. Not only was it the first man-made object to orbit the Earth, it was also one of the grooviest examples of mid-century modern design.

Wednesday 7

“The 41 st Annual CMA Awards” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Uh. … Carrie Underwood. … Um, that dude in the cowboy hat. … Yeah, beyond that I can’t help you.
