Thursday 24 “Chuck” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) It’s a brand-new episode of “Chuck” on a totally different night. (NBC calls it a “special night.”). Feel free to skip “Celebrity Apprentice” at 8 p.m., then come back at 9 p.m. for the WGA strike-mandated season finale of “Chuck.” Friday 25 “Garth Brooks: Live in LA!” (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) Country superstar Garth Brooks sings, dances, does whatever it takes to fill up an hour of CBS’ strike-starved schedule. Saturday 26 “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew” (MTV 3 p.m.) “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, trying his damnedest to compensate for America’s desperate lack of reality show dance competitions. “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2008” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) You know, to get you all amped up for the red-hot action of this year’s Super Bowl commercials. Go, Met Life! Wooooo ! “Miss America Live 2008” (TLC 7 p.m.) TLC is hoping marketing this year’s Miss America Pageant as “the original reality show” has got audiences psyched to see it. Despite claims that it’s “American Idol,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and “The Apprentice” all rolled into one, it still boils down to a bunch of Barbie dolls in bathing suits gassing on about world peace. “Torchwood” (BBC America 7 p.m.) BBC’s sexy sci-fi series starts up its second season right quick with Capt. Jack returning after a mysterious absence. “Trading Spaces” (TLC 8 p.m.) It’s the eighth season and host Paige Davis is back! This time around, producers are pumping up the drama by allowing people who theoretically don’t like one another (ex-wives and ex-husbands, for example) to remodel each others’ homes. Sunday 27 “14 th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards” (TNT/TBS 6 p.m.) This may be your only shot at glitz and glamor this season. It’s the only major awards show, so far, that the WGA is not picketing. Get your Vera Wang gown and your Harry Winston jewelry fix while you can, stargazers. BloodMonkey (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) F. Murray Abraham, is this where you’ve been hiding all these years? Wow. Sorry I asked. “Guinness World Records: Top 100” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) Unusual records and descending numbers. What’s not fun about that? Monday 28 “State of the Union Address 2008” (KASA-2, KOB-4, KNME-5, KOAT-7, KRQE-13, CNN 7 p.m.) Oh, right. This guy is still in office. “The Harlem Globetrotters 80 th Anniversary Special” (KASY-50 7 p.m.) Hmmm. The clown princes of basketball or George W. Bush? … Tough call. Tuesday 29 Baghdad Hospital: Inside the Red Zone (HBO 9:30 p.m.) What’s it like working in a hospital in the middle of war-torn Baghdad? I’m guessing crummy. It’s crummy, isn’t it? Wednesday 30 “Bravo Special: 20 Most Outrageous Bravo Moments” (Bravo 8 p.m.) … Like that time we concocted a self-promotional Bravo TV special entirely out of old Bravo TV clips. That was pretty outrageous.
