Thursday 11 “102 Minutes That Changed America” (History 7 p.m.) History Channel, for one, is heeding the warning of bumper stickers and will never forget the events of 9/11. … Then again, how could it; it’s the History Channel. “Top Pop Group” (MTV 11 p.m.) Couldn’t get on “Star Search,” “American Idol,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Next Great American Band,” “Making The Band,” “Rock Star,” “Nashville Star” or “The One: Making of a Music Star”? Not to worry. Your supremely shitty band still has one more shot at reality show fame. Friday 12 “2008 Alma Awards” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) The year’s best Latino film, TV and music are saluted with a star-studded awards show. You know what that means, don’t you? Another statue for America Ferrara, a hosting gig for Eva Longoria Parker and a yearly reminder that Charlie Sheen is actually Hispanic. Saturday 13 “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF Casting Special” (MTV 7 p.m. Also known as “Poor Self Esteem on Parade.” Coco Chanel (Lifetime 7 p.m.) Shirley MacLaine stars as fashion icon Coco Chanel in this three-hour made-for-TV movie. Ba’al the Storm God (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) Word of warning: If you’re an archaeologist, and you’re in a movie on the Sci-Fi Channel, you’re about to unearth something evil. Sunday 14 “Secrets of the Dinosaur Mummy” (Discovery 7 p.m.) Dinosaur Mummy? Man, I smell a Sci-Fi Channel movie a-brewing. “Lost 2.0” (G4 7 p.m.) If you’ve put off watching “Lost” for the last four seasons, first let me say that you’ve missed out tragically on a fine piece of TV and a cultural phenomenon. But you’ve got a chance to redeem yourself and catch up in record time thanks to G4, which starts re-airing the series beginning with the very first episode. Not only can you see the first four seasons, hopefully before the fifth begins (sometime in 2009 it looks like); but, since the episodes are now “enhanced” with on-screen secrets, factoids and producer commentaries, you’ll actually emerge out the other end more informed than the average “Lostie.” Unless, of course, the Losties are watching this as well. Which they almost certainly will be. Monday 15 “Gurren Lagann” (Sci-Fi 9 p.m.) Yeah, this Japanese cartoon has been part of S-F’s “Anim-Monday” for a little more than a month now. I still don’t really get it. But the female characters wear really skimpy outfits, which opens the door for all sorts of cosplay options. And isn’t that’s what it’s all about, ultimately? Tuesday 16 “Primetime: UFOs … Seeing is Believing” (KOAT-7 8:30 p.m.) “ Primetime” devotes an entire 90 minutes to UFOs–which would be really appropriate if the aliens were actually predators who’ve come down here with four-packs of Zima to mack on our pre-teen daughters. Wednesday 17 “Human Camera” (BBC America 7 p.m.) Stephen Wiltshire is an autistic artist with the freaky ability to glance at buildings and reproduce their architecture exactly on paper. Tonight: the entire London skyline.
