Thursday 5 “Burn Notice” (USA 8 p.m.) USA’s fun spy crime fighting series comes to the end of its second season. Here’s hoping it comes back for a third. Any show that provides gainful employment for both Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless is a necessity. Friday 6 “20/20” (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) Tonight, it’s a one-hour special: “Siegfried and Roy: The Magic Returns.” Yup, they’re propping Roy back up on stage and making him do magic with tigers. Unlike in baseball, people are betting on the tigers to win here. Saturday 7 “Ashes to Ashes” (BBC America 7 p.m.) The BBC’s much-anticipated sequel to the now-Americanized “Life on Mars” finds a female police inspector tripping mysteriously back in time to the year 1981. Sunday 8 “Saturday Night Live: Just Game Show Parodies” (KOB-4 6 p.m.) After last Sunday’s “Just Shorts” clip show (on the heels of several political specials, news roundups and sports-centric “best of” shows), I get the feeling you’re pushing it, “SNL.” “Saturday Night Live: Just Commercials” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) OK, now I know you’re pushing it. “History Special: Ancient Aliens” (History 6 p.m.) Did space aliens visit our ancient ancestors? Did E.T. build the Great Pyramid? Was Erich von Däniken right? Doubtful, probably not and hell to the no. “The L Word: Finale Special” (Showtime 6 p.m.) Having tagged every female in Hollywood (from Jennifer Beals to Marlee Matlin to Cybill Shepherd to Elizabeth Berkley to Kristanna Loken) as gay or at least bi-curious (oh, wait, Loken is bi), Showtime’s sexually obsessed soap signs off with a goodbye special. “Breaking Bad” (AMC 8 p.m.) Who isn’t jonesing for a second season of this shot-in-Albuquerque series? “Candy Girls” (E! 11:30 p.m.) E! launches a new “hip-hop reality show.” It’s about a modeling agency in NYC that specializes in supplying those women who shake their booties in rap videos. Monday 9 “Castle” (KOAT-7 9:02 p.m.) I’d have thought primetime TV has enough wacky genius crime fighters of the non-cop variety (“Monk,” “Psych,” “The Mentalist,” “Lie To Me”). But no. Here we have sexy mystery novelist (Nathan Fillion from “Firefly”) cracking cases with NYPD. Tuesday 10 “WCG Ultimate Gamer” (G4 8 p.m.) Professional video game players live in a crowded loft apartment full of cameras, compete in various challenges and get voted off on a weekly basis to determine the “Ultimate Gamer.” … Now nerds have a bad reality series to call their own. Wednesday 11 “Chopping Block” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) It’s bad enough world-famous chef Marco Pierre White (who?) has to steal the entire concept of “Last Restaurant Standing” for his new reality show. He’s got to rip off Gordon Ramsay’s apoplectic criticism as well? “South Park” (Comedy Central 11 p.m.) The 13 th season gets underway with hi-def episodes now available over on Comedy Central HD. … Ponder that for a while.
