Friday 27 “Ben 10: War of the Worlds” (Cartoon Network 10 p.m.) Honestly, I don’t know from “Ben 10”—but judging from the action figures crowding the toy aisles at Wal-Mart, it’s a popular show among 8-year-old boys. Here’s a special one-hour episode just for them. Saturday 28 Nora Roberts’ Midnight Bayou (Lifetime 7 p.m.) Honestly, I don’t know from Nora Roberts—but judging from the paperbacks crowding the checkout aisles at Wal-Mart, she’s a popular author among fortysomething housewives. Here’s a movie based on one of her gothic romances. Jerry O’Connell plays a guy who moves into a house that may or may not be haunted. With sexy results. Earthstorm/Polar Storm/Dark Storm (Sci-Fi 5/7/9 p.m.) Three storm-based movies in a row. How exciting can you get? Sunday 29 “Any Dream Will Do” (BBC America 7 p.m.) Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber searches for an actor to star in a revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . Naturally, he turns to the phenomenal power of reality TV to locate one. “The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” (HBO 6 p.m.) The popular book series that my mom seems to like gets its own weekly series starring singer Jill Scott and actress Anika Noni Rose ( Dreamgirls ) as a pair of Botswana ladies who start their own crime-solving firm. Monday 30 “Table for Twelve” (TLC 7 p.m.) At this point, I’d have to say that TLC’s obsession with hyper-fertile couples is bordering on unhealthy. “The F Word Meets Top Gear” (BBC America 7:40 p.m.) For those of you not versed in BBC lore, this means that “F Word” host Gordon Ramsay is teaming up with “Top Gear” host Jeremy Clarkson for some cooking fun. Tuesday 31 “The Osbournes: Reloaded” (KASA-2 8:20 p.m.) The first family of reality TV is back—only this time it’s got a wacky variety show filled with sketches, hidden camera stunts and midget versions of Sharon and Ozzy! … No, I’m not kidding. … Dear god, I wish I were. “Cupid” (KOAT-7 9:02 p.m.) The failed 1998 romance series starring Jeremy Piven gets revamped with Bobby Cannavale from “Will & Grace.” Really? Wednesday 1 “I Get That a Lot” (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) Stars like Jessica Simpson go out in the real world and pretend to be people who look like them but aren’t them for the sake of some alleged hidden camera laughs. “Life on Mars” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) Don’t expect a whole lot of resolution on this series-ending episode of the prematurely canceled sci-fi-ish cop series.
