Thursday 28 “The 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) I give it another year and these kids will be living in a loft in New York City and getting voted out each week. Friday 29 “Un-Broke: Everything You Need to Know About Money” (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) “Good Morning America” financial contributor Mellody Hobson teams up with stars Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Seth Green, the Jonas Brothers and the E*Trade talking babies to discuss credit cards, mortgages, the stock market and 401(k) plans. So, it’s come to this: 401(k) advice from the Jonas Brothers. We’re doomed. “What Not To Wear” (TLC 7 p.m.) I am shocked to find the seventh season of TLC’s makeover show going celebrity, offering how-to-dress tips to one-time teen actress Mayim Bialik. Who would have thought TV’s Blossom would grow up to be a fashion disaster? It seemed like shorty overalls, rainbow-striped leggings and oversized granny hats rimmed in sunflowers would stay fashionable forever. Saturday 30 “Pushing Daisies” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) I could complain about this charming fantasy series returning in the 9 p.m. Saturday slot—the worst time slot in all of network television. But I’m so grateful ABC has actually deigned to show the final few episodes of this unfairly canceled series, I’m just gonna set my TiVo and enjoy. Sunday 31 “Breaking Bad” (AMC 9 p.m.) Season 2 comes to an end. Knowing this show, it probably won’t be a pleasant one. “2009 MTV Movie Awards” (MTV 10 p.m.) Andy Samberg hosts, joining the illustrious ranks of such previous hosts as Ben Stiller, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Will Smith and … uh, Jon Lovitz. “DJ & The Fro” (MTV 12 a.m.) MTV’s newest animated series finds two bored office mates swapping viral videos. Monday 1 “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) By my calculations, it’s one minor celebrity (Stephen Baldwin), four insufferable reality show stars (Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Janice Dickinson and Sanjaya Malakar), one retired NBA player (John Salley), one chick in a bikini I’ve never heard of (Torrie Wilson) and a couple of rumored, “secret” inclusions (Dog the Bounty Hunter and Geraldo Rivera). Those last two might actually make it worth the trouble. Tuesday 2 “Earth 2100” (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) ABC gets all eco-disastery with this environmental news special. “Is Your House Killing You?” (Sundance 7:30 p.m.) When did Sundance become the most pessimistic network on TV? “Man vs. Wild: Will Ferrell Special” (Discovery 8:01 p.m.) Um … what? “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” (MTV 9 p.m.) Season 2? But what happened to Brittany Flickinger? They were supposed to be best friends forever . Wednesday 3 “Man Land” (HGTV 9 p.m.) HGTV ditches the froufrou Martha Stewart crap for this steel plate and Kegerator-filled series exploring “men’s design machismo.”
