“The Adventures of Seinfeld and Superman” (KOB-4 7:30 p.m.) Poor NBC, lamenting the recent loss of both “Friends” and “Frasier” just gives up and airs the only thing they can find: a recent series of web-exclusive American Express commercials featuring Jerry Seinfeld and an animated Superman. Still, it's probably the funniest thing the network's aired in months.
“CSI” (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) DNA evidence contradicts a rape victim's testimony in the season finale of CBS' forensic hit. Look for “CSI: New York” next fall.
Friday 21
“Joan of Arcadia” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) CBS' hit theological drama does the season finale thing. You'd think after all these weeks of bugging some poor teenage girl, God could find a hobby or something. The guy's got way too much time on his hands.
Saturday 22
Boa vs. Python (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) After reruns of the usual Sci-Fi Channel movies Boa and Python (both of which concern giant, computer-generated snakes harassing C-list TV actors), we get a brand new movie: Boa vs. Python. This one's a whole new bag. It features not one but two giant, computer-generated snakes and–as the title leads me to believe–they fight at some point. Think of it as “Animal Face-Off,” but with a plot. … Well, sort of.
Sunday 23
“The Simpsons” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) Mr. Burns buys up all the media in Springfield in an effort to improve his image, leaving Lisa to form her own underground newspaper. That wraps it up until “Treehouse of Horrors” in October. Bummer.
Scott Turow's Reversible Errors (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) This legal thriller mini-series is based on the novel by Scott “I'm Not Quite John Grisham, But If His Newest Book is Sold Out You Can Still Find Me at the Airport Gift Shop” Turow. It stars William H. Macy, Tom Selleck, Monica Potter and Felicity Huffman.
The Lion In Winter (Showtime 8:30 p.m.) Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close (impressive!) star in this adaptation of the classic play about King Henry II and his lover doll Eleanor of Aquitaine.
Monday 24
“Airline: Excess Baggage” (A&E 7 p.m.) A&E milks another few episodes out of its popular behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day life Southwest Airlines by sweeping a pile of unused footage from the cutting room floor.
Tuesday 25
“24” (KASA-2 8 p.m.) Fox's stripped-down and rapidly improving season of “24” comes to a close with Jack and Chase closing in on the deadly virus.
Wednesday 26
“American Idol” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) The next American Idol is finally chosen. Although, with accusations of racism, voting irregularities and outright fraud, you'd think they were electing the next president of the United States.
“Star Trek: Enterprise” (UPN 7 p.m.) With the future of the “Star Trek” franchise hanging by a very thin ratings strand, “Enterprise” comes to its season finale. Seems that Captain Archer must put his life on the line to disarm an alien superweapon. He'll probably be back next season, but he shouldn't hold his breath for a movie spin-off.
