Thursday 30

“The Teen Titans Go! and Powerpuff Girls Completely Organic Crossover Special” (Cartoon Network 7pm) Bad guy (well, ape) Mojo Jojo shows up in Jump City and it’s up to unrelated superhero teams Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls to take him down.

“Nuclear Sharks” (Discovery 7pm) It wouldn’t be Shark Week if Discovery Channel didn’t find some new way of making us afraid of sharks. Syfy, you can take over from here.

“Greatest Hits” (KOAT-7 8pm) REO Speedwagon, Ray Parker Jr., Kenny Loggins, Kim Carnes, Rick Springfield, Kool and The Gang, and Pitbull perform the greatest hits of 1980 to 1985. … Wait a minute. Pitbull? Is this guy now legally mandated to appear on every televised concert ever? Because he hadn’t even been born yet in 1980.

Friday 1

“Marcella” (Netflix streaming anytime) From the creator of “The Bridge” comes this British crime drama starring Anna Friel (“Pushing Daisies,” Limitless) as a troubled detective investigating a serial murder case.

“Brett Gelman’s Dinner in America” (Cartoon Network 1am) Intentionally awkward comedian Brett Gelman produces his third special for CN’s Adult Swim, a round table discussion that is “as thorough of an exploration of the racial problem in America that you can have in 24 minutes.”

Saturday 2

Newlywed and Dead (Lifetime 6pm) And conservatives say homosexuals are destroying the sanctity of marriage in America. I think it’s Lifetime.

Sharksanity 3 (Discovery 7pm) Discovery looks back on the best of it’s Shark Week 2016 programming with this best of clip show and review.

Sunday 3

“The Hunt” (BBC America 7pm) From the team behind the BBC’s “Planet Earth” comes this new nature series in which Sir David Attenborough explores the relationship between predators and their prey.

Monday 4

“Idris Elba: No Limits” (Discovery 7pm) The British actor, who’s freaking everywhere these days, gets his own travel series in which he tries his hand at extreme sports like rally driving, aerobatics and drag racing.

“Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” (KOB-4 7pm) Kenny Chesney, 5 Seconds of Summer, Meghan Trainor and the Radio City Rockettes perform. Then stuff blows up.

“A Capitol Fourth” (KNME-5 7pm) Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, Cassadee Pope and the National Symphony Orchestra perform. Then stuff blows up.

“Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular” (KRQE-13 8pm) Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Little Big Town and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra perform. Finally, stuff blows up.

Tuesday 5

“Black Market with Michael K. WIlliams” (Viceland 8pm) “The Wire” actor Michael K. Williams explores underground economies and illicit trade in America and around the world, starting with how the tradition of joy-riding stolen cars has given rise to an international criminal operation in Newark.

Wednesday 6

“American Tarzan” (Discovery 8pm) Eh, it’s just another reality survival competition like “Naked and Afraid” or “Alone.” There’s more crying in the woods in these things than there was in The Blair Witch Project.
