“Unichef” (TLC 5pm) Although it sounds like a character on “The Jetsons,” this documentary series looks at how three successful chefs in the culinary industry found success and inspiration, and how they are “uniting people through food.”

“Hungry” (LOGO 8pm) This documentary series, on the other hand, looks at three female chefs in the culinary industry. Great minds think alike, eh, TV?

Friday 18

“The Grand Tour” (Amazon streaming anytime) Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May from “Top Gear” hit the road in a new automotive travel show.

“Paranoid” (Netflix streaming anytime) Netflix teams with England’s ITV for this grim crime drama already being compared to HBO’s “True Detective.”

Saturday 19

My Christmas Dream (Hallmark 6pm) My Christmas dream is to not be inundated by holiday RomComs from Hallmark Channel about cynical young professionals who surrender to the magic of the season and fall in love. … On the plus side, this one stars Danica McKellar from “The Wonder Years.”

“Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks” (BBC America 6:25pm) When the BBC Archives were purged in 1974, most of the master negatives for hundreds of classic shows were lost forever. Among those long-lost episodes was this six-part “Doctor Who” story from 1966. It featured the good Doctor’s very first regeneration. Now, the BBC has commissioned animated versions of these missing episodes, utilizing original audio recordings, surviving photographs and film clips.

Sunday 20

“The 2016 American Music Awards” (KOAT-7 7pm) Drake lands himself 13 nominations, breaking the record of 11 nominations previously held by Michael Jackson in 1984. All the usual suspects—Rihanna, Adele, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd—show up to grab whatever statues are left.

A December Bride (Hallmark 6pm) Hallmark is doubling up on the Christmas RomComs with two a week. This one stars Canadian singer/actress Jessica Lowndes from “90210.”

Operation Christmas (Hallmark Movie Channel 7pm) OK, three a week, if you count Hallmark Movie Channel. This one stars Tricia Helfer from “Battlestar Galactica.”

“Squidbillies: Thanks-Taking” (Cartoon Network 1am) Rusty invites a new friend over for Thanksgiving dinner. I’m guessing it doesn’t go so well.

Monday 21

“Search Party” (TBS 9pm) In this mystery/sitcom, four self-absorbed twentysomethings come together after a former college acquaintance mysteriously disappears. It’s from the director of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” and stars Ali Shawkat ( “Arrested Development”) and John Early (“30 Rock”) and Meredith Hagner (“Men at Work”).

Tuesday 22

“Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise” (KNME-5 7pm) Interviews and archival footage tell the story of the struggle for black equality. (Sorry bout that election, guys.)

Wednesday 23

“Macy’s 90th Thanksgiving Day Parade Special” (KOB-4 7pm) Why wait for tomorrow to get your parade fix? Check out highlights of the march through Manhattan’s 90 year history.

“The Double Dare Reunion Special” (Nickelodeon 7pm) Vintage footage, behind-the-scenes content and some brand new messy games help celebrate the kiddy game show’s 30th anniversary.

“Chicken People” (CMT 9pm) Sadly, not about actual “chicken people,” but people who compete in poultry-raising competitions.
