Thursday 2“Powerless” (KOB-4 7:30pm) This workplace sitcom is set in the DC Comics universe and takes place in an insurance company run by Bruce Wayne’s less successful cousin (the always-awesome Alan Tudyk). Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi and Ron Funches are among the employees trying to protect citizens from costly superhero-based mayhem.“Superior Donuts” (KRQE-13 7:30pm) This Chigago-set sitcom is based on the stageplay by Tracy Letts (August: Osage County). Judd Hirsch (“Taxi”) stars as the cranky owner of an old-school donut shop in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood.“A Groundhog Day Story” (Animal Planet 8:01pm) A five-part documentary series about Punxsutawney Phil? About time the little guy got his due.“Training Day” (KRQE-13 9pm) Rush Hour and Lethal Weapon have already been turned into TV shows. Why not this 2001 cop movie? Bill Paxton replaces Denzel Washington as our corrupt cop/mentor.“People Just Do Nothing” (Viceland 8:30pm) This British mockumentary series looks into the lives of DJs at an underground radio station.Friday 3“Santa Clarita Diet” (Netflix streaming anytime) Drew Barrymore stars in this black comedy series as a California housewife who, rather inconveniently, turns into a zombie. Saturday 4“Killing Bigfoot” (Destination America 8pm) Since 2011 “Finding Bigfoot” has been loping around Animal Planet. Eight damn seasons and no Bigfoot to show for it! Here DA lets a Bigfoot hunting group from Texas go out and shoot the damn thing. I’m confident these guys are gonna have much more success.Sunday 5See “Idiot Box.”Monday 6“Gender Revolution: A Journey With Katie Couric” (National Geographic 7pm) Katie Couric meets with scientists, surgeons and experts in the field to answer questions regarding gender identity.“APB” (KASA-2 8:01pm) Writers in Hollywood have no idea how doctors or police officers do their jobs. So they frequently make up all sorts of crazy, mumbo-jumbo solutions involving everything from psychic powers to magic to computers. (Computers can do that?) Last year’s terrible “Pure Genius” had doctors saving patients with the help of a high-tech, holographic, supercomputer hospital. This one has cops solving crimes with the help of a high-tech, holographic supercomputer police station. So clever.Tuesday 7“Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special” (Netflix Streaming anytime) I’m already hot and bothered.“Imposters” (Bravo 10pm) In this dark comedy, a sexy con woman (Israeli-American actress Inbar Lavi) preying on lonely men considers a lifestyle change when she falls in love with her latest target. Unfortunately, her last three love interests have teamed up to hunt her down.“Detroiters” (Comedy Central 11:30pm) Jason Sudeikis is the producer behind this comedy about two best friends who make low-budget TV commercials in Detroit. Wednesday 8“So Cosmo” (E! 9pm) A behind-the-scenes docu-reality series about hip young people working at Cosmopolitan magazine? Too trendy for my blood.“Legion” (FX 11pm) This surreal, psychological action series is actually a spin-off of Marvel Comics’ X-Men universe. The story centers on David Haller (Dan Stevens from “Downton Abbey”), a schizophrenic young man who finds himself institutionalized once again. With the help of a strange new inmate, however, our hero begins to realize the crazy things he sees and hears might not be insanity, but superpowers.
