Thursday 9

“Kicking & Screaming” (KASA-2 8pm) Ten survival experts team up with 10 rich, pampered, nature-phobic partners to face the challenge of living in Fiji’s tropical jungle. Although the idea of watching overprivileged snobs getting tortured sounds like fun, this is just a lazy revamp of “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.” The attractive and seemingly good-natured Hannah Simone from “New Girl” hosts, but that’s not enough.

Friday 10

“Buddy Thunderstruck” (Netflix Streaming anytime) This stop-motion-animated kids’ series follows the adventures of a semi-truck racing dog named Buddy and his albino ferret mechanic. … Hey, I don’t make this stuff up, I just report on it.

Tangled Before Ever After (Disney 9pm) This made-for-TV movie (featuring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi) takes place between Disney’s Tangled movie and the short film “Tangled Ever After.” (Hence, the title.) It will serve as the pilot for the upcoming “Tangled: The Series,” which follows long-haired Rapunzel’s adjustment to life as a princess.

“The Vampire Diaries: Forever Yours” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Highlights from the past eight seasons and cast interviews make up this hour-long sign-off special. Followed at 8pm by the series finale of the CW’s supernatural soap.

Saturday 11

“The 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards” (Nickelodeon 6pm) Children choose their favorites from the worlds of film, television, movies and pop culture. More importantly, however, celebrities will be slimed!

“Samurai Jack” (Cartoon Network 9:30pm) Fans, your patience has paid off. A mere 13 years after it went off the air, Genndy Tartakovsky’s time-traveling samurai vs. demon series finally returns to wrap up its open-ended storyline with a fifth and final season.

Sunday 12

“Spring Baking Championship” (Food Network 7pm) Food Network launches yet another cooking competition by making nine people bake Easter-inspired treats. Give us bunnies and eggs! In dessert form! Now!

Monday 13

“Hunter Street” (Nickelodeon 5pm) Five children go on a quest to find their missing foster parents in what sounds like a very much not funny sitcom.

Tuesday 14

Water & Power: A California Heist (National Geographic 7pm) Rabble-rousing documentarian Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) explores how California’s convoluted water system is allowing “water barons” to charge small farmers and everyday citizens huge sums of money in order to get a seemingly free resource.

“Adam Carolla and Friends Build Stuff Live” (Spike TV 8pm) Most people know that comedian/talk show host Adam Carolla was a construction worker once upon a time. With his new show, he and his … well, the title kinda spoils it.

“Trial & Error” (KOB-4 9pm) An eager young New York lawyer (Nick D’Agosto from “Masters of Sex”) heads to a tiny Southern town to defend an eccentric poetry professor (John Lithgow) accused of murdering his wife. It’s a comedy.

Wednesday 15

“Hap and Leonard: Mucho Mojo” (Sundance 11pm) The low-down East Texas crime series starring James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams as two hard-luck best buds returns for a second season. This one tackles Joe R. Lansdale’s second “Hap and Leonard” novel Mucho Mojo. This one involves a mysterious skeleton, a crack house and some child porn. Fun times!
