“S.W.A.T.” (KRQE-13 9pm) The 1974 action cop series (made into a movie in 2003) gets a reboot. Shemar Moore (“The Young and the Restless,” “Criminal Minds”) stars. Sure, he’s got the abs, but he’s no Steve Forrest.

Friday 3

“Alias Grace” (Netflix streaming anytime) Author Margaret Atwood (hot off Amazon’s “The Handmaid’s Tale”) gets another TV adaptation with this drama about a 19th-century Canadian psychiatrist who weighs in on whether a murderous housekeeper should be pardoned due to insanity.

Saturday 4

Christmas Festival of Ice (Hallmark 6pm) Here’s a holiday rom-com in Hallmark’s sub-sub-genre of ice-carving movies. (See also : Ice Sculpture Christmas.) In it, a hardworking lawyer tries to revive her hometown’s ice-carving contest by recruiting a famous ice-sculptor. Spoiler alert: They fall in love.

The Perfect Christmas Present (HMM 7pm) A guy who’s built a business empire on finding the perfect Christmas gifts for clients is stymied when his best friend asks for help finding a present for his girlfriend. Spoiler alert: The more our gift buyer learns about the lady in question, the more he falls in love with her.

Sunday 5

A Second Chance Christmas (UP 5pm) What up, UP? You wanna square off with Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in the holiday movie sweepstakes? You’re gonna have to come harder than this.

Miss Christmas (Hallmark 6pm) Tasked with finding the perfect tree for the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony in Washington, D.C., a woman travels to a quaint New England town. Spoiler alert: She falls in love with a tree farmer.

Christmas in the Air (HMM 7pm) A successful professional organizer is hired by a frazzled single father and inventor. Spoiler alert: They fall in love. … You are falling seriously behind, UP.

“SMILF” (Showtime 8pm) Frankie Shaw writes, directs and stars in this comedy (based on her award-winning short film) about a single mom trying to navigate life and love.

Monday 6

Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge (HBO 7pm) This documentary looks back at the last 50 years of pop cultural history as seen through the pages of Rolling Stone magazine.

“Stove Tots” (FYI 7pm) That’s a terrible name for a kids’ cooking show.

“The Healer” (TLC 8:08pm) An “energy healer” from Australia helps people cure chronic ailments in this “reality/health” series, which likely contains little of either.

Tuesday 7

“Damnation” (USA 8pm) From the producers of “Longmire” comes this 1930s-set drama about a man masquerading as a preacher who engages in a “mythic conflict and bloody struggle” with a professional strikebreaker.

“The Long Road Home” (National Geographic 9pm) This eight-episode military drama—based on the book by Martha Raddatz—chronicles the events of April 4, 2004, when a US platoon was ambushed in Sadr City, Baghdad.

Wednesday 8

“Meow Manor” (UP 1pm) This animal reality show is described as “a unique multi-screen experience that takes viewers inside the poshest kitty mansion this side of Beverly Hills.” Think ”Big Brother,” but with cats.

“Iron Chef: Where Are They Now” (Food 6pm) Find out what happened to all the the culinary gods who have been granted legendary “Iron Chef” status over the decades.
