“Star Trek: Short Treks” (CBS All Access streaming anytime) Still paying for your CBS All Access subscription and waiting impatiently until January for new “Star Trek: Discovery” episodes? Relax. CBS is offering “Short Treks,” 10-minute short films that “take a deeper dive into key Star Trek characters or themes.” You get one of those a month until January. Suck on ’em slowly.

Friday 5

“Into the Dark” (Hulu streaming anytime) Each episode of this monthly horror anthology series (from Blumhouse, makers of The Purge, Paranormal Activity and Insidious) is inspired by a holiday that takes place in the month it’s released. So, I’m guessing this month’s theme is “Columbus Day.”

“YG Future Strategy Office” (Netflix streaming anytime) This mockumentary sitcom about a newly formed “strategy office” where all of YG Entertainment’s bumbling and/or troublemaking employees are sent, features cameos by some of South Korea’s biggest K-pop stars. (YG Entertainment is a real-life Korean record label and talent agency.) BIGBANG, BLACKPINK iKON lovers unite!

“Unprotected Sets” (Epix 9pm) Wanda Sykes executive produces this docuseries about up-and-coming comics.

“ZOMBIES Halloween Cast Party” (Disney 9:30pm) The cast of Disney’s ZOMBIES musical (Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly) host a song-, dance- and game-filled party.

Saturday 6

You Might Be The Killer (Syfy 5pm) A dude fights off a summer camp serial killer by calling up his buddy and soliciting a lot of on-the-fly advice. This horror-comedy started out as a viral Twitter thread between writer Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath) and fantasy author Sam Sykes.

Flight of the Conchords: Live in London (HBO 8pm) Comedy musical duo Jemaine Clement and Bret KcKenzie reunite after a decade or so for this 90-minute concert special.

“Iron Chef” (Cooking 8pm) The original Japanese cult classic cooking show was followed by such stateside reboots as “Iron Chef USA,” “Iron Chef America,” “Iron Chef Gauntlet” and “Iron Chef Showdown.” Now Cooking Channel gets around to airing the 2012 Japanese reboot.

Sunday 7

“Star Wars Resistance” (Disney 11pm) This new series, set six months before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, centers on a young pilot recruited into the Resistance to spy on the growing threat of the First Order. Its cell shaded/CGI mash-up art style is “inspired” by Japanese anime.

Monday 8

Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story (Starz 7pm) A group of women in the New York City (Julie Atlas Muz, Hazel Honeysuckle, Darlinda Just Darlinda and Perle Noir among them) navigate today’s neo-burlesque scene in this verité documentary series.

Tuesday 9

“The 2018 American Music Awards” (KOAT-7 7pm) Traci Ellis Ross hosts, Cardi B, Imagine Dragons and Post Malone are among the performers. … I just recently learned that Post Malone is a thing. I’m sorry I did.

Wednesday 10
