Awakening in Taos: The Mabel Dodge Luhan Story (KNME-5 7pm) Academy Award nominee (and New Mexico resident) Ali MacGraw narrates this locally produced documentary about New Mexico legend Mabel Dodge Luhan. The ahead-of-her-time heiress moved from Greenwich Village (where she palled around with Gertrude Stein and Pablo Picasso) to Taos, N.M., in 1917. There, she fell in love with and married full-blooded Tiwa Indian Antonio Luhan. She went on to befriend artists such as Georgia O’Keefe, Ansel Adams and D.H. Lawrence. Over the years she became known as a writer, a salon hostess, an art patroness and a passionate defender of Native American and women’s rights.

“Northern Rescue” (Netflix streaming anytime) Netflix imports this Canadian drama starring second-tier Baldwin brother William. Described as a “family adventure series,” the show follows a widowed father who uproots his kids from the big city so he can run a search and rescue service back in his woodsy hometown.

“The Widow” (Amazon streaming anytime) Kate Beckinsale stars in this mystery thriller about a woman whose husband dies in a mysterious plane crash in the Congolese jungle. Three years later, still haunted by the incident, she travels to Africa to find out the truth.

Just Add Romance (Hallmark 6pm) On Hallmark when a guy and a gal cross paths at random (here, they’re competing against one another in a televised cooking show), there’s romance in the offing.

The Killer Downstairs (Lifetime 6pm) On Lifetime when a guy and a gal cross paths at random (here, she rents her downstairs apartment to him), there’s attempted murder in the offing.

Sunday 3

Leaving Neverland (HBO 6pm) HBO finally airs this controversial two-part documentary about the criminal sexual allegations against Michael Jackson. Or not. The Jackson family is suing to prevent this from being aired.

Divide and Conquer: The Roger Ailes Story (A&E 7pm) Domineering media mogul (and former Fox News executive) Roger Ailes gets roasted in this documentary examining the life of the millionaire misogynist—from his days advising Richard Nixon to his ouster from Fox for sexual harassment.

Monday 4

“Paranormal 911” (Travel 7pm) A group of firefighters, EMS workers and police officers service as “supernatural first responders” in this otherwise standard ghost hunting show.

Inside My Heart (Starz 7pm) This documentary follows a microcosmic handful of the 68 million refugees who have been forced to flee war-torn Syria and Afghanistan, seeking safe harbor on foreign shores.

Tuesday 5

“The Toe Bro” (A&E 8:01pm) If you like the medically disgusting adventures of Dr. Sandra Lee on the show “Dr. Pimple Popper,” then you’ll love Jonathan Tomines as he helps people with their grody ingrown toenails. Also, what the hell is your major malfunction that you’d actually be watching this stuff?

Wednesday 6

Riverdale” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Tonight’s episode is titled “Fire Walk With Me”—which tells you just how far out this teen soap, based on an 80-year-old kids’ comic, has strayed from its roots.
