“Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears” (KOB-4 6:15pm) The NFL season officially kicks off with this showdown between the ailing Packers and the increasingly legitimate Bears.

Friday 6

“Archibald’s Next Big Thing” (Netflix streaming anytime) The children’s book about an insecure chicken, written by actor Tony Hale (“Veep,” “Arrested Development”), comes to life courtesy of DreamWorks Animation.

“The Spy” (Netflix streaming anytime) Sacha Baron Cohen (“Da Ali G Show”) stars in this French miniseries based on the life of Eli Cohen (no relation), Israel’s top Mossad agent in Syria.

“Couples Therapy” (Showtime 8pm) This docu-series looks at the struggles of real-life couples going through relationship problems while undergoing weekly therapy sessions with Dr. Orna Guralnik. You know what would help those relationship problems? Airing them on a reality TV show for everyone to see.

Saturday 7

Identity Theft of a Cheerleader (Lifetime 6pm) I can’t help but feel that Lifetime’s brand of suburban paranoia is running short on ideas. On the up side, it is Cheerleader Month! Following Death of a Cheerleader, Cheerleader Nightmare and The Secret Life of Cheerleaders on Sept. 2, we’ve go The Wrong Cheerleader on Sept. 8, The Cheerleader Escort on Sept. 14 and Undercover Cheerleader on Sept. 15.

“Country Music: Live at the Ryman, a Concert Celebrating the Film by Ken Burns” (KNME-5 7pm) Dierks Bentley, Rosanne Cash, Rhiannon Giddens, Vince Gill, Kathy Mattea, Marty Stewart and Dwight Yoakam get together to salute Ken Burns’ upcoming PBS documentary series.

Monday 9

Out of Omaha (Starz 7pm) Documentary filmmaker Clay Tweel (Finders Keepers, The Innocent Man) spent eight years filming this intimate portrait of twin brothers Darcell and Darrell Trotter, two young black men coming of age in the racially and economically divided city of Omaha.

“A Very Brady Renovation” (HGTV 7pm) The six remaining members of the “Brady Bunch” sitcom cast reunite to help HGTV renovate the iconic real-life $3.5 million Southern California home used in exterior shots from the show. Maybe this will finally explain how the Brady house was only a single story on the outside, but a two-story on the inside.

“Lip Sync to the Rescue” (KRQE-13 7pm) Cedric the Entertainer hosts this “interactive countdown special” in which first responders channel their inner pop stars and lip sync to hit music. … No, really.

“CBS Fall Preview” (KRQE-13 8pm) Now that you’re full up with ambulance drivers doing their best Lizzo imitations, CBS would like to interest you in a new sitcom starring Patricia Heaton and a courtroom drama or two.

Tuesday 10

“Ghosted: Love Gone Missing” (MTV 7pm) MTV has a long history of taking popular slang words (Cribs, Trippin’, Buzzin’, Cuff’d, Punk’d, Jammed, Friendzone, Catfish, Promposal) and turning them into TV shows.

Wednesday 11

“What Happened on September 11” (HBO Family 4pm) HBO kicks off the Sept. 11 anniversary by teaching everyone under the age of 18 what it was all about.

“In the Shadow of the Towers: Stuyvesant High on 9/11” (HBO 7pm) HBO looks at the events of 9/11 as seen through the eyes of students at New York’s Stuyvesant High School, located just blocks from the World Trade Center.

“9/11: Inside Air Force One” (History 7pm) History Channel investigates what went on inside President Bush’ plane as it made the nine-hour journey from Florida to Washington on 9/11.
