“Creepshow” (Shudder streaming anytime) Following up on the horror comic-inspired George Romero/Stephen King anthology from 1982 comes this six-episode anthology starring the likes of David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Giancarlo Esposito and Tricia Helfer.

“The Unicorn” (KRQE-13 7:31pm) Walton Goggins (“Justified”) stars as a recently widowed father who suddenly finds himself in the sights of various middle-aged suburban divorcees.

“Carol’s Second Act” (KRQE-13 8:30pm) Sitcom vet Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond,” “The Middle”) returns as a retired teacher and empty nester who decides to start a new career path as a medical intern.

“Sunnyside” (KOB-4 8:31pm) Kal Penn (of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle fame) stars as a disgraced former city councilman who ends up teaching a bunch of immigrants the civics lessons they need to qualify as American citizens.

Friday 27

“Bard of Blood” (Netflix streaming anytime) Indian spy thrillers are apparently a hot commodity these days. Here, Emraan Hashmi (Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai) stars as an excommunicated government agent who joins a covert mission to rescue four agents in the Balochistan region.

“Skylines” (Netflix streaming anytime) Who doesn’t love German hip-hop? This German-language drama revolves around a hip-hop producer in Frankfurt, who signs with an indie record label—only to find out it’s a front for organized crime.

“Transparent: Musicale Finale” (Amazon Prime streaming anytime) “Transparent” goes out singing with a series sendoff featuring song, dance and jazz hands. Why not?

Saturday 28

Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story (Lifetime 6pm) Sure, it sucks being a gay teenager, coming out to your Mormon parents and being involuntarily shipped off to a conversion therapy home in Utah. On the other hand, you get a Lifetime Original Movie out of it.

Sunday 29

“Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge—Adventure Awaits” (Freeform 6pm) Can’t make it out to Disneyland to check out the new Star Wars exhibit? No worries. Neil Patrick Harris, Kaley Cuoco, Sarah Hyland, Keegan-Michael Key and Jay Leno are here to tell you what you’re missing out on.

“Bless the Harts” (KASA-2 7:30pm) FOX finds another animated sitcom to pair with “The Simpsons.” Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell and Ike Barinholtz voice a poor, Southern clan rich in “fun, laughter and friends.”

“Challenge—Outrageous Pumpkins” (Food Network 8pm) Four of America’s most talented pumpkin carvers come together for a pumpkin carving competition that “defies expectations.” Also, to let viewers know that Halloween season has officially started.

“Godfather of Harlem” (Epix 8pm) Forest Whitaker and Vincent D’Onofrio headline this crime drama based on the true story of infamous New York gangster Bumpy Johnson. Laurence Fishburn played Johnson in both The Cotton Club and Hoodlum. Here, we follow Johnson (Whitaker) as he returns to his economically depressed Harlem neighborhood in the early 1960s after 10 years in prison, teams up with Malcolm X and battles the Genovese crime family. (Yeah, that really happened.)

Monday 30

“Halloween Baking Championship” (Food Network 7pm) You know Halloween is coming when the cooking channels bust out the spooky cupcake competitions.

Tuesday 1

“In a Man’s World” (Bravo 11pm) Four “dynamic women” embark on a gimmicky, docu-reality “journey of a lifetime”—transforming into men to experience life from the opposite side of the gender divide.

Wednesday 2

“All Elite Wrestling” (TNT 6pm) TNT offers a preview of the new wrestling circuit, which promises to “introduce statistics to the sport.” … Because pro wrestling really needs to feel more like baseball.

“The iHeartRadio Fest” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Camila Cabello, Tim McGraw, French Montana, Halsey and Steve Aoki perform—which, frankly, makes for a pretty weird radio station.

“Almost Family” (KRQE-DT2 8:01pm) FOX Americanizes a popular Australian drama about an “only child” (Brittany Snow, “Guiding Light”) who finds out her fertility doc father (Timothy Hutton) used his own sperm to father more than 100 other kids. That’s an awkward Thanksgiving conversation.
