Friday 22“Costume Quest: Heroes on Holiday” (Amazon streaming anytime) The popular role-playing video game about trick-or-treating kids who transform into whatever costumes they’re wearing in order to fight monsters got turned into an animated series earlier this year. Not sure how well the Halloween-centric show translates into a Christmas special, but here we are.“Dino Girl Gauko” (Netflix Streaming anytime) From the makers of “Crayon Shin-Chan” comes this cute kids’ toon about a tween girl who turns into a fire-breathing dragon when her anger “exceeds maximum level.” “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings” (Netflix streaming anytime) Eight stories about faith, love and forgiveness—all inspired by classic Dolly Parton songs—come to life in this sentimental anthology series starring Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, Julianne Hough, Camryn Manheim, Delta Burke, Gerald McRaney, Melissa Leo and Mac Davis.“The Feed” (Amazon streaming anytime) The Brits exceed at psychological thrillers. In this one (based on the novel by Nick Clark Windo), an inventor (David Thewlis) gets fabulously wealthy by creating a technology that allows people to share information, emotions and memories instantly. But when things start to go wrong and users become murderous, his family is driven apart as they struggle to control the technological monster he unleashed. “Nobody’s Looking” (Netflix streaming anytime) From Brazil comes this supernatural comedy about a Heavenly guardian angel who uncovers the secret behind the “Angelus” system’s complicated bureaucracy, forcing him to break the rules when it comes to providing “luck” to humanity.Saturday 23Christmas at Graceland: Home For the Holidays (Hallmark 6pm) Last Year’s Christmas at Graceland (starring Kellie Picker and Wes Brown) gets an unrelated sequel in which two mismatched folks, young nanny Harper (Kaitlin Doubleday) and wealthy widower Owen (Adrian Grenier), fall in love over Christmas and in proximity to Graceland. Priscilla Presley shows up in a cameo, so there’s that!Turkey Drop (Freeform 7pm) Olivia Holt (“Cloak & Dagger”) stars as a young woman who returns to her small-town home from her freshman college year, only to find out her high school sweetheart is planning on dumping her over the holidays.Sunday 24“The 2019 American Music Awards” (KOAT-7 7pm) Ciara hosts. The Jonas Brothers perform. Post Malone is nominated for seven awards. Taylor Swift gets the Artist of the Decade award. If you can find a reason to watch in all of that, knock yourself out.Monday 25“Wrap Battle” (Freeform 7pm) TV is loaded with pointless reality show competitions. So why not a $50,000 competition to see who in America is the best Christmas present wrapper? Carson Kressley, Candy Spelling and Wanda Wen (founder of “stationary and luxury paper brand” Soolip) are among the celebrity judges. … Why does this feel more like a Christopher Guest mockmentary than something that is actually happening?Tuesday 26“Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry” (KOB-4 8pm) I don’t mean to alarm anyone, but is Dolly Parton dying of cancer or something? Between last week’s “Dolly Parton: Here She Comes Again!” special and her hosting gig at the CMA Awards (both on ABC) and “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings” over on Netflix and this musical special on NBC, it seems like the country icon is working it extra hard these days.Wednesday 27“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (KOAT-7 7pm) I’m thinking, after 46 years on the air and who knows how many annual viewings, we just need come together as a society and make a drinking game out of this thing.
