Thursday 17
“Outrageous and Contagious Viral Video Fight” (Bravo 9 p.m.) If you don't have a high enough bandwidth at home or a cool enough boss at work to hunt for crazy video clips/cartoons on the Internet, you can always turn to this new show for a quick fix.
Friday 18
“WWE Friday Night Smackdown” (KASY-50 7 p.m.) Tonight, it's a Triple Threat match featuring Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Randy Orton. Wow, it's like the end of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, only with less squinting and more body slams.
Saturday 19
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) You can get in the mood for the new fourth Harry Potter film with this screening of the second outing from 2002. Watch it right before you go to the theater. It's a little creepy to see Harry get taller and Hermione grow … um, up so fast.
“Digging for Truth: Giants of Easter Island” (History 9 p.m.) It was a little more fun back in the '70s when we were still dumb enough to imagine that space aliens carved the statues on Easter Island. Still, they're cool statues.
Sunday 20
“Earth to America!” (TBS 6 p.m.) Roving gangs of the hottest standup comics gather in Las Vegas to raise awareness of environmental concerns. It's like the Kyoto Conference with a two-drink minimum.
The Poseidon Adventure (KOB-4 7 p.m.) Hell yeah! The '70s disaster classic comes back with a smaller budget and less impressive stars. Join Adam Baldwin, Rutger Hauer, Bryan Brown, C. Thomas Howell, Peter Weller and Steve Guttenberg as they flip upside down and drown. Good times! … And if this isn't enough Poseidon for you, just wait until next year when Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss and Kevin Dillon star in a theatrical remake.
Snow Wonder (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) A magical snowstorm blows in on Christmas Eve, working assorted heartwarming miracles across the country. It's like “Extreme Makeover” but with Mary Tyler Moore and Jason Priestley instead of Tracy Hutson and Ty Pennington.
Monday 21
“XBox 360 Special: Countdown to XBox 360” (G4 7 p.m.) It's like VE Day for nerds! XBox 360–the first of the “Next Gen” consoles–is hitting store shelves. G4 helps calm nerves and pass the time with this 3 1/2-hour special featuring reviews, previews and cheat codes (already?) for the much-anticipated videogame system.
Tuesday 22
“I'm King Kong” (TCM 9 p.m.) This new TCM documentary explores the incredible life of King Kong writer/director/producer Merian C. Cooper. The dude fought in World War I, chased Pancho Villa, traveled the world and invented Cinerama.
Wednesday 23
“Kenny Chesney: Somewhere in the Sun” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Gosh, I almost wish I was a redneck, because I'd have two country music specials to ogle tonight.
“Faith Hill: Fireflies” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) … But I'm not, so I couldn't care less.
