Thursday 20 [sub]

“Dave’s Old Porn” (Showtime 9:30 p.m.) Comedian Dave Attell welcomes guests like porn stars Ron Jeremy, Georgina Spelvin and Belladonna as well as comedians like Chelsea Handler, Daniel Tosh and Whitney Cummings (who, oddly enough, isn’t a porn star) to his new show. Their job: Riff on old porn flicks, “MST3K” style. … No, really.

[sub] Friday 21

“American Masters: Pearl Jam Twenty” (KNME-5 9 p.m.) Rock-journalist-turned-moviemaker Cameron Crowe ( Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire ) rounds up Eddie Vedder and the gang to document their 20 th year in the music biz.

“Boss” (Starz 8 p.m.) Kelsey Grammer gets serious to play an evil Chicago mayor who tries to cover up his recently diagnosed degenerative neurological disorder.

“X-Men Anime” (G4 9 p.m.) Following in the wake of Iron Man and Wolverine, Marvel’s X-Men get a Japanese anime makeover.

“Viper’s Creed” (G4 9:30 p.m.) From noted anime designer Shinji Aramaki (“Megazone 23,” “Genesis Survivor Gaiarth,” “Appleseed”) comes another postapocalyptic mecha series. (You were expecting something else?)

Saturday 22

“Halloween Block Party” (HGTV 6 p.m.) HGTV checks out the best-decorated houses in America. Makes the toilet paper ghosts on your front porch look kinda weak.

“The World’s Worst Place to Be Gay” (Logo 9 p.m.) The Nascar Winston Cup finals? Fred Phelps’ Christmas party? Ohio? … Oh, Uganda . Yeah, that would totally suck.

Oliver’s Ghost (Hallmark 7 p.m.) Oliver is an 11-year-old kid who can see the dead apparition of Martin Mull. “I see … sardonic TV comedians from the ’70s.”

Sunday 23

“Once Upon a Time” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Snow White, the Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, Jiminy Cricket and a bunch of other fairy tale characters are exiled to the real world and given amnesia in ABC’s fantasy-filled drama from “Lost” writer Damon Lindelof.

“The Glam Fairy” (Style 6 p.m.) If you’ve been waiting eagerly for Alexa Prisco from “Jerseylicious” to open her own beauty salon and get her own reality show, your freakishly misguided prayers have been answered.

Monday 24

“Monster In-Laws” (A&E 8 p.m.) If you were a parent, why in hell would you agree to appear on a reality show called “Monster In-Laws”?

Tuesday 25

“Zombies: A Living History” (History 7 p.m.) History Channel schools us on the untold story of the living dead.

“Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan” (G4 8 p.m.) If you were a cameraman in Hollywood and were given the choice between shooting a season of the reality show “Jersey Shore” and a season of the reality show “Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan,” I bet you’d have to think long and hard over which would be the more hazardous assignment.

“Flip Men” (Spike 8:30 p.m.) A reality show about people who buy houses, fix them up and then “flip” them? Way to grab the 2008 TV zeitgeist there, Spike.

Wednesday 26

“Whitechapel” (BBC America 8 p.m.) This dark new BBC crime drama follows the investigation of some modern-day murders in East London that mirror the work of a certain famous serial killer.
