Thursday 3

“Beyoncé: Fierce and Fabulous” (Reelz 8pm) Reelz looks at the life and career of singer Beyoncé, who is evidently both fierce and fabulous.

“The Real Housewives of New York City: Secrets Revealed” (Bravo 10pm) Is one of the secrets how fake this crap is?

Friday 4

“Death By Gossip with Wendy Willams” (ID 7pm) To be clear, it wasn’t any of Wendy Williams’ gossip that got people killed. She’s just the host here.

Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church (Showtime 7pm) This musical documentary/concert film captures the guitarist’s largest US performance at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Music Festival.

Saturday 5

River Raft Nightmare (Lifetime 6pm) Come on, Lifetime, can’t you just stick to what you do best—making us all terrified of living in the suburbs? Stop picking on the great outdoors and go back to killer babysitters, sexting teens and human trafficking school librarians.

Sunday 6

Happy Valley (A&E 4pm) A&E airs this feature-length documentary examination of longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky and his indictment on multiple counts of child sex abuse.

“Arthur & George” (KNME-5 7pm) Mystery-writing author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle comes to “Masterpiece Mystery!” in the form of Martin Clunes (“Doc Martin”) to solve the mystery of who framed Anglo-Indian solicitor George Edalji (Arsher Ali from “The Missing”).

A Teacher’s Obsession (Lifetime 7pm) Statutory rapist teachers? Ah, that’s the stuff, Lifetime.

Monday 7

“CBS Fall Preview Show” (KRQE-13 7:30pm) One of which is “Supergirl,” several of which undoubtedly focus on brilliant forensic crime solvers. … CBS does love a good autopsy.

“My Son’s Face Won’t Stop Growing” (TLC 7pm) Never stop being you, TLC.

“My Baby’s Got an Extra Head” (TLC 8pm) Never, ever.

“Nazi Jihad” (AHC 8pm) American Heroes helps out conservative conspiracy theorists by airing this documentary about how Austrian colonel Otto Skorzeny and Muslim leader Amin Al Husseini combined forces (back in the ’50s) to create modern terrorism and “carry Hitler’s dream to a Nazi stronghold in the Middle East.”

Tuesday 8

“Late Show with Stephen Colbert” (KRQE-13 10:35pm) George Clooney and Jeb Bush both show up for Colbert’s first show. … I’m as excited as the next guy. But that title still sounds weird coming off my tongue.

Wednesday 9

“Suddenly Royal” (TLC 8pm) The Howe family are as boring and blue-collar as any other family on basic cable reality shows. Except that dad David Howe is a distant, long-lost heir to the throne of the British Isle of Man. Given that the Isle of Man has been under rule of the English Crown since 1399, I don’t think David’s move to reclaim the kingdom is going to be very successful.
