Where do they come up with all these brilliant new TV show ideas? Friday 3 “infoMania” (Current 7 p.m.) Cable TV has its fair share of comedic fake news shows (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report,” “Onion News Network,” “Sports Show with Norm Macdonald,” “The O’Reilly Factor”). Here’s Current’s take on the growing genre. Saturday 4 Red Faction: Origins (G4 7 p.m.) Brian J. Smith (“Stargate Universe”), Robert Patrick ( Terminator 2: Judgement Day ), Tamzin Merchant (“The Tudors”) and Gareth David-Lloyd (“Torchwood”) star in this TV-movie adaptation of the popular Mars-based video game. “Niecy Nash’s Wedding Bash” (TLC 7 p.m.) Apparently comedienne-cum-“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Niecy Nash is getting married. On TLC. Sunday 5 “So Random!” (Disney 9:30 p.m.) Non-tweens, bear with me. Disney’s sitcom “Sonny With a Chance” starred Demi Lovato as a wannabe actress who lands a role on a made-up sketch comedy show called “So Random!” These days, though, Lovato’s more interested in her singing career—and, to hear TMZ tell it, drugs, anorexia, cutting and not sleeping with a Jonas brother. So Disney dumped her. And retooled the show to become an actual version of the fake show-within-a-show. … See, there’s hope yet, “TGS With Tracy Jordan.” “2011 MTV Movie Awards” (MTV 10 p.m.) Has it really been 20 years? When this award show launched back in 1992, Arnold Schwarzenegger won Best Male Performance. Obviously, he’s still a great male performer. He just needs a little Viagra. “Finding Bigfoot” (Animal Planet 8 p.m.) Based on past television experience, I’m just gonna rename this “Not Finding Bigfoot.” “Mancations” (Travel 7 p.m.) Finally, a travel show for dudes so insecure in their sexuality they need to add the word “man” or “bro” to everything: manscaping, manstration, manorexic, bromance, brodown, Brodak moment. “Teen Wolf” (MTV 11 p.m.) MTV reboots the awful, but fondly remembered, Michael J. Fox comedy from 1985 as a weekly drama. So, no werewolf basketball—that’s just silly. This has werewolf lacrosse—now that’s dramatic. Monday 6 “My Yard Goes Disney” (HGTV 6 p.m.) Perfect for people who want lots of product placement and corporate branding in front of their house. Bobby Fischer Against the World (HBO 7 p.m) HBO’s newest documentary premiere shines a light on the life, career, exile, detention, death and exhumation of infamously volatile chess champion Bobby Fischer. Tuesday 7 “ Deadliest Catch: Greenhorns” (Discovery 8 p.m.) The newbie crab fisherman get their own special—filled, no doubt, with puking, complaining and frequent injuries. Wednesday 8 “My Bear Family” (National Geographic Wild 7 p.m.) That title would mean something very different over on Logo.
