Scary Kids (TCM 6pm) TCM celebrates Halloween month with a night of terrifying rug rats. It starts at 6pm with 1965’s The Nanny. Next is 1956’s The Bad Seed (7:45pm), followed by 1960’s Children of the Damned (10pm) and its sequel, Village of the Damned (11:45pm).

October Kiss (Hallmark 7pm) After being hired as a nanny by a widowed, work-obsessed man, Poppy (Ashley Williams from “How I Met Your Mother”) teaches the family that unconditional love, family and the joy of everyday occurrences are the most important things in life. … That is not how you make a Halloween movie, Hallmark.

They Found Hell (Syfy 7pm) Teens open a portal to Hell. … That is how you make a Halloween movie, Hallmark.

Sunday 18

“The Simpsons” (KASA-2 7pm) FOX teases us with a “Halloween of Horror” episode in which the Simpsons are beset by scary home invaders. Don’t worry, “Treehouse of Horror XXVI” is next week.

“Robot Chicken” (Cartoon Network 1am) It’s “DC Comics Special III,” with the “Robot Chicken” gang stop-motion spoofing your favorite comic book heroes.

Monday 19

“Atlantis Found” (History 7pm) Or, you know, some other random island that sank beneath the waves at some point in history. Close enough.

Tuesday 20

“Sweat Inc.” (Spike 8pm) Jillian Michaels goes all “Shark Tank” on a bunch of wannabe fitness entrepreneurs trying to develop the latest, groundbreaking exercise program. (Volleyballing to the Oldies? Sweat ’n’ Puke? Stationary Unicycles?)

Wednesday 21

“Hellevator” (GSN 6pm) In this game show/horror hybrid from one of the executive producers of Paranormal Activity, contestants are loaded onto a “haunted” elevator and lowered into an abandoned slaughterhouse where they must complete various scary challenges.
