Thursday 25

“Prey” (BBC America 8pm) British Detective Sergeant Susan Reinhart (Rosie Cavaliero from “A Young Doctor’s Notebook”) fights corruption on the job and her own inner demons in the BBC’s bleak new cop drama.

Friday 26

“Fuller House” (Netflix streaming anytime) Sadly, Olsen twins Mary Kate and Ashley are MIA for this 20-years-in-the-making spinoff. Then again, they did play the same character on the show—so it would be kinda weird if they did show up. Although maybe in the intervening decades D.J. Tanner got cloned and … nope, I’m overthinking this.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (Netflix streaming anytime) Michelle Yeoh (The Heroic Trio, Tomorrow Never Dies), Donnie Yen (Iron Monkey, Ip Man) and Harry Shum Jr. (uh, that dancing kid from “Glee”) show up in this belated martial arts sequel. It was supposed to open in IMAX theaters and on Netflix simultaneously—although most theater chains boycotted that plan. So, just watch it at home as God and Reed Hastings intended.

Saturday 27

“Mythbusters” (Discovery 6pm) Adam and Jamie turn their show over to the internet in this “Reddit” special investigating assorted cyber myths.

Sunday 28

“More Manners From Downton Abbey: A Masterpiece Special” (KNME-5 8pm) Castmembers Hugh Bonneville and Michelle Dockery show up to teach us more about the social protocols of aristocrats in 1900s Britain. Fingers crossed, we’ll finally find out where the fish knife goes.

Monday 29

“Rockin’ Roadsters” (Discovery 8pm) One of the things Discovery is very good at discovering is TV shows about people who build cars. Here Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top fame helps design wicked cool hot rods. Seems appropriate. Back in the ’80s, that “Eliminator” car got a lot of nerdy dudes laid (if the music videos are to be believed).

Tuesday 1

“ABC News Super Tuesday Election Special” (KOAT-7 8pm) It’s Super Tuesday, which means … I don’t know, something about our doom as a country being sealed in blood. Anyway, ABC, NBC and PBS have got news specials telling us who our next president might be.

“The World Dog Awards” (KWBQ-19 7pm) The CW, on the other hand, is so damn apolitical, they’re concentrating on who won the World Dog Awards instead. Whatever pooch takes home the honors, it would still make a better president than Trump.

Wednesday 2

“The Greatest Animal Commercials Countdown” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Has The CW stopped caring about anyone and anything? An hourlong special consisting of TV commercials with animals in them? That’s barely enough content for an answers.com link on Facebook. (“11 Celebs You Didn’t Know Were Chicago Natives”? Fascinating stuff, answers.com!)

“The Real O’Neals” (KOAT-7 7:30pm) Martha Plimpton (late of “Raising Hope”) and Jay R. Ferguson (Stan Rizzo from “Mad Men”) star in this sitcom about a devout Irish Catholic family rocked by the usual clichés (divorce, gay son).

“Hap and Leonard” (Sundance 11pm) Cult crime/horror writer Joe R. Lansdale’s East Texas-based book series gets the TV treatment. James Purefoy (“Rome”) and Michael Kenneth Williams (“Boardwalk Empire”) star as the mismatched pals, a blue collar draft dodger and a black, gay, Republican vet who work for a private investigator and run afoul of various crazed characters (including Hap’s ex-wife, played by Christina Hendricks).
