Thursday 21

“The Deep End” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Prime time isn’t as thick with lawyers as it used to be. But this new series about hotshot young lawyers from creator/producer/writer David Hemingson (“Lie To Me,” “How I Met Your Mother”) promises to take us back to the golden days of “L.A. Law.”

“Burn Notice” (USA 8 p.m.) The hit crime/action series returns for a new season. Hey, anything that keeps Bruce Campbell employed is a good thing in my book.

Friday 22

“Hope for Haiti” (KASA-2/KOB-4/KOAT-7/KRQE-13/KWBQ-19/CNN/MTV/VH1/CMT/BET 7 p.m.) George Clooney hosts a telethon raising relief money for earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

“Caprica” (Syfy 7 p.m.) In case you missed it on DVD, Syfy airs the pilot film for this intriguing, retro-styled “Battlestar Galactica” prequel.

“Dollhouse” (KASA-2 8 p.m.) Joss Whedon’s redheaded stepchild of a sci-fi series finally gets yanked off the air with tonight’s series finale.

“Batman: The Brave and the Bold” (Cartoon Network 8:30 p.m.) In tonight’s episode—titled “Sidekicks Assemble!”—Robin, Speedy and Aqualad get to headline their own adventure. Good for you, kids.

“Spartacus: Blood and Sand” (Starz 8 p.m.) Lucy Lawless is among the cast of this new action drama about the rebellious Roman slave made famous by Kirk Douglas. Think of it as “Xena: Warrior Princess”—but with a bit more historical accuracy and a lot more full-frontal nudity.

Saturday 23

“16 th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards” (TNT 6 p.m.) In some ways, this is a more prestigious award to the nominated actors than the Oscars. After all, it comes straight from their peers in the acting community. … So remember, Hollywood: If you don’t win a SAG Award, your peers hate you.

Sunday 24

“The Tiniest Girl in the World” (TLC 7 p.m.) So, does she have a dozen kids? Operate a candy store? Rescue pit bulls? Nothing? She’s 2 years old? C’mon, honey, you gotta do more than just lie there to make it in today’s reality show market.

Monday 25

“Inbetweeners” (BBC America 7 p.m.) Four young schoolboys caught between geekiness and popularity are the focus of this new BBC sitcom.

“La La Land” (Showtime 9 p.m.) UK comic Marc Wootton does the Jamie Kennedy / Sacha Baron Cohen thing, dressing up as different characters and pranking dumb Americans.

Tuesday 26

“Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible” (Science 8 p.m.) Tonight’s topic: “How to Become a Superhero.” Now this is my idea of educational television! Did I mention it’s followed by an episode on “How to Build a Light Saber”? I’m taking notes!

Wednesday 27

“Big Chef Takes on Little Chef” (Planet Green 6 p.m.) You see Tiniest Girl in the World, this is how you exploit little people—have a big, fat chef battle a little person in an apron with … Wait. “Little Chef” is the name of a restaurant chain in Britain? Damn. My idea was better.
