Thursday 17

“Cooks vs. Cons” (Food Network 7pm) Professional chefs and home cooks battle it out in yet another cooking competition.

“The Real World: Go Big or Go Home” (MTV 11pm) Another random group of young housemates flirt and fight with each other for what is apparently the 31st season of this immortal reality show.

Friday 18

“Daredevil” (Netflix streaming anytime) Gun-toting vigilante the Punisher (Jon Bernthal from “The Walking Dead”) and sexy female ninja Elektra (Élodie Yung from G.I. Joe: Retaliation) show up for the second season of Netflix’s dark and gritty superhero series. I know what I’m doing this weekend.

Pee-wee’s Big Holiday (Netflix streaming anytime) Damn it, Netflix. I’m booked up this weekend. I realize we’ve waited almost 30 years for a new Pee-wee Herman movie—but would another few days have killed us? What am I supposed to watch first now?

Saturday 19

“For Peete’s Sake” (OWN 7pm) Actress Holly Robinson Peete (“21 Jump Street”) and family managed to come up with a punny title, so they get a docu-reality show alongside … well, every other unemployed/broke celebrity in Hollywood.

Sunday 20

“Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade” (KASA-2 6:30pm) After five feature films, four short films and two holiday specials, 20th Century Fox’s prehistoric cartoon franchise shows little sign of stopping. Here, Sid the Sloth (John Leguizamo) starts an egg-sitting service, but his charges are kidnapped by a couple of rabbits, prompting the Earth’s first Easter egg hunt.

The Passion (KASA-2 7pm) The ubiquitous Tyler Perry narrates this modern, musical retelling of Christ’s betrayal, death and resurrection. Chris Daughtry (of fourth-place on “American Idol” fame) is Judas and country singer Trisha Yearwood is Mary. So … realism.

Monday 21

“Follow Your Past” (Travel 7am) Travelers spend their vacations hunting down family history—from castles in England to Wild West outlaws in the American Southwest.

“Dancing with the Stars” (KOAT-7 7pm) Among this season’s “never heard of ’em” celebrities: Ginger Zee, Wanya Morris, Nyle Dimarco and Paige VanZant.

Everything is Copy: Nora Ephron—Scripted & Unscripted (HBO 7pm) Mike Nichols, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Meryl Streep are among the stars examining the life and work of screenwriter/producer/director Nora Ephron.

“Lost Girl” (Syfy 8pm) This Canadian-made supernatural series about a bisexual succubus (kinda sounds like you should have been watching, huh?) comes to an end after five seasons.

Tuesday 22

“Heartbeat” (KOB-4 8pm) A beautiful, stubborn, outspoken female heart-transplant surgeon with a racy personal life tries to succeed in a field dominated by men. Australian Melissa George (“In Treatment,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) stars in TV’s newest cliché-loving medical drama.

Wednesday 23

From Comics to Film” (TCM 6pm) Turner Classic Movies spends an entire night screening movie serials featuring famous comic book and comic strip characters. We get thrilling appearances by Batman, Superman, The Green Hornet, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Ace Drummond and Dick Tracy—all dating from between 1936 and 1950.
