Thursday 6

“The Imploders” (TLC 7 p.m.) A reality show about a family who blows things up for a living. … So, are they little people, obese and tattooed, or excessively fertile?

“The Dudesons in America” (MTV 11 p.m.) A group of Finnish skateboarders crack themselves in the nuts, jump off things and throw sharp objects at one another. Continuing proof that “Jackass” is still America’s most culturally significant export.

Friday 7

“Friday Night Lights” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) After a season airing on DirecTV’s The 101 Network (whatever the hell that is), the highly regarded high school football drama returns for a fourth season on NBC proper.

“Need to Know” (KNME-5 8 p.m.) Newsweek editor Jon Meacham and former NPR host Alison Stewart tag-team on PBS’ new newsmagazine show, which takes over for the long-running “Bill Moyers Journal” and “NOW.”

Zaat (TCM Midnight) Also known as The Blood Waters of Dr. Z , this 1975 ultra-cheapy features a mad scientist who transforms himself into a murderous catfish. … No, really.

Saturday 8

(SyFy 7 p.m.) Last week, I mentioned that Mothman didn’t get nearly as much cheesy B-movie love as his cryptid brethren. I stand corrected. He’s got Mothman Prophecies and Mothman . That’s twice as many as the poor Mongolian Death Worm, who earns his first and only cinematic outing tonight.

“Doctor Who” (BBC America 7 p.m.) The awesomely creepy Weeping Angel statues (a total fan fave villain from the Tennant years) return to give the good Doctor and his companion a fright or two. Plus, the mysterious River Song (Alex Kingston) is back. A twofer!

Sunday 9

Jesse Stone: No Remorse (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) It’s just not as much fun watching Tom Selleck fight crime as a small-town sheriff. I miss the Hawaiian shirts and the Ferrari. Heck, I even miss Larry Manetti. (You too? Visit larrymanetti.com. He’ll appreciate the traffic.)

Monday 10

“Undateable” (VH1 8 p.m.) Why isn’t VH1 just called the Dating Channel now?

Tuesday 11

“My Dog Ate What?” (National Geographic Wild 8 p.m.) Well, the episode title—“Fish Hooks, Spoons and Coins”—kinda spoils all the surprise.

“Ashes to Ashes” (BBC America 8 p.m.) BBC’s ’80s-set sequel to flashback-freaked cop show “Life on Mars” starts up its second brain-bending season.

Wednesday 12

“America’s Next Top Model” (KWBQ-19 8 p.m.) “ANTM” crowns its 14 th next top model. I think it’s built up a pretty big backlog at this point. Our nation’s Strategic Fashion Model Reserve is officially full. You can stop now, Tyra.

“Repossessed!” (National Geographic Channel 8 p.m.) Do we need another reality show about repo men? Survey says no. Nat Geo says yes.

Zaat. That’s right, I said Zaat.
