The National Hispanic Cultural Center’s (1701 4th St SW1701 Fourth Sreet SW) board voted to lease its empty restaurant space to City Treats Parties last week. The new restaurant will be called La Fonda del Bosque and is expected to open in two months.

Food News Burglars Target Green Jeans

According to police, someone is targeting businesses at Green Jeans Farmery (3600 Cutler NE) for burglary. Reports say that in recent weeks, Amore Pizzeria, Zeus’ Juice and Nutrition Bar and now Rockin’ Taco have been burglarized by an unknown party or parties.

Speaking of Green Jeans, Bocadillos (3600 Cutler NE) sandwich shop (located at Green Jeans) just announced it will be opening a second location on the first floor of the Wells Fargo building downtown at 200 Lomas NW. The owner said she would like to open more locations in the future.
