Friday, Dec. 23, 8 p.m.; Moonlight Lounge (21-and-over), free (donations of food and clothing greatly appreciated): Grab the funkiest retro sweater you can find and head out to the Moonlight Lounge for the freshest holiday party in the Duke City. The Dish and Don Mickey Designs are putting on a holiday party/fundraiser with donations benefiting the Salvation Army. What’sthedish.com’s Kevin Hopper says party attendees can donate their old-school attire while cutting-a-rug to Felonious Groove, DJ Chach and a special mystery band.

Felonious will play their last show of the year before taking it easy for a few months after a heavy gig regimen that followed the release of their breakthrough album, Paper Tiger. The band is considering the possibility of a followup recording in 2006. Paper Tiger‘s “Porcelana” recently won third place in the nationwide John Lennon National Song Writing Competition and Felonious is planning on entering several more of Tiger‘s tracks to the annual New Mexico Music Awards in May of '06.

Hopper says he plans to put together benefit shows like this one every two months or so; kind-hearted party animals stay tuned!
