Jeremy McCollum is a guitar player and former Alibi web monkey. Now—when not building his ticketing empire, HoldMyTicket.com—he and his band SuperGiant are working on the July release of a third album, Pistol Star . See them play at the Launchpad on Saturday, June 4, with fellow stoner/doom/metal/psych acts Orange Goblin, The Gates of Slumber and Naam. The 21-and-over show is $10 and starts at 9 p.m. Below are five random tracks from his iPod.

Song Roulette

1) "In My Head" • Black Flag • In My Head

"I got this album on vinyl in high school by trading an older kid for some Slimeball skateboard wheels. I saw the album artwork and just had to have it. Not the best example according to most Black Flag fans, but I’ve always dug this record."

Song Roulette

2) "Siva" • Smashing Pumpkins • Peel Sessions

"A classic Pumpkins track, back before the drum machines and keyboards. Pure rock. Live studio session recorded with the legendary John Peel."

Song Roulette

3) "We Are the Niggers of the World” • Brian Jonestown Massacre • My Bloody Underground

"Like all BJM albums, this one is pure genius cover to cover. This melancholy and sloppily played, but beautiful neoclassical piano piece is the perfect example of what happens when you combine a musical savant and a shitload of heavy drugs."

Song Roulette

4) "Gathering Speed" • Fu Manchu • Daredevil

“This song rules so hard; it’s the ultimate road-burning anthem!”

Song Roulette

5) "I" • Toner Low • II

"13.33 minutes of slow-heavy stoner-doom bliss."
