Both MCs have strong roots and recognition in the underground/independent hip-hop scene. Scarub came up as part of Living Legends and Mystik Journeymen, Bay Area crews that lit it up in the ’90s displaying smooth swagger coupled with multilayered lyricism. ![]() Sam Adams Robust Robust, meanwhile, made a name for himself on Chicago's Galapagos4 label, sharing stages with underground legends the Typical Cats in the early aughts.
