Talk about a giving attitude. Just in time for the season, Karma Café (1617 San Pedro NE, Ste. B) opened last week, offering a “pay as you feel” model to diners. I’ll be watching this restaurant’s performance very carefully and taking notes. Time to get some concrete numbers on a real world example of Karma in action.
Thanksgiving is nearly here, but some of our neighbors are going to need help for rest of the holiday season. Last week, Governor Susana Martinez announced a new "Pull Together" program to collect food and toys for New Mexico kids and families. Every MVD location in the state will be accepting non-perishable foods and toys to give to needy families. Here’s where to find them.
That’s it. If I have to look at one more Thanksgiving meal with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole or stuffing I am going to scream. Throw some variety in there, people! Here are some exotic recipes to spice up your meal. Now, that’s something to be thankful for. (Also: I was only pretending for dramatic effect.
