The old Rio Grande Yacht Club on Yale was bought by the owners of Los Cuates, who plan to tear the building down and put up a new restaurant in its place. Expect to see the new location pop up next year.

The popular Santa Fe restaurant Jambo Café (2010 Cerrillos, Santa Fe) is coming to ABQ with a new location at the former Weck’s at 1105 Juan Tabo. The African-Caribbean restaurant will be open by early spring.

Food News New Rules

New state-mandated requirements for food handlers are going into effect after March 1. All food establishments in the state outside of Bernalillo County will now be required to have a certified food safety manager on staff as well as require all employees who come into contact with food to have a food handler’s permit.
