There are a lot of amazing shows coming to Albuquerque. The live music scene here is fine. It features all sorts of different genres that play at a number of really awesome venues.This week is the second week in February so the days are still short. But at night there are plenty of concerts and spring is right around the corner.Here are recommendations for local live concerts that you should show up for during the upcoming week.Thursday, Feb. 6 is a big night for rock music in Albuquerque, with all sorts of amplified music being supplied by venues across Downtown.At Sister (407 Central Ave. NW), New Yorkers Shake The Baby Til The Love Comes Out and local power trio Constant Harmony will be playing speed punk, jazz and mathcore. 7pm • $5 • 21+.Meanwhile at the Launchpad (618 Central Ave. SW) there will be a multi-genre album release concert given by Stem Ivory. The Dust City Opera, Searching For Summer, Manhigh and Kidplastic provide support. 7:45pm • $8 • 21+.Also on Thursday, Moonlight Lounge (120 Central Ave. SW) presents a show headlined by Problem With Dragons with Sword Horse, Death’s Emmissary, Weedrat and Chisme. 9pm • $5 • 21.Friday, Feb. 7 is another cool night for live music in Albuquerque. Check out these rock recitals!The Red Light Cameras, Albuquerque’s favorite rock band, play at the Launchpad (618 Central Ave. SW) for the Lindsay G. Memorial Show. Alt-rockers Black Tie and Merma and Roberta open. 9pm • $5 • 21+.Up the road at Moonlight Lounge (120 Central Ave. SW), Los Angeles rockabilly and cumbia experts the Moonlight Rocketz perform and local surf rockers Black Unicorn, featuring Jeremy from SuperGiant, open. 8pm • $8 • 21+.Saturday, Feb. 8 is yet another night of rock on tap for local listeners.High and Dry Brewing (529 Adams St. NE) hosts their second annual birthday party. It will be an all-day affair featuring new beer and live music by High Performance Orange, The Ordinary Things, Gral Brothers and Red Mesa. Noon until 11pm • Free • 21+.There’s also a deathcore show starring Bodysnatcher at Eclipse (600 Louisiana Blvd. SE). 6pm • $13 • All ages (13+).Sunday, Feb. 9 is a day to catch up, do laundry or have another interesting musical experience.Los Radiators, an Albuquerque blues rock institution, plays an acoustic gig at O’Neill’s Pub (4310 Central Ave SE). 4pm • Free • All agesLaunchpad (618 Central Ave. SW) has a Winter Mixer with a variety of interesting bands including Mischief and Confusion, The Lost Remotes, Dead City Radio, Bubblegum Love Crush, Red Heather, Bound Within, Warflesh and Katarak Attack. 5pm • $10 advance, $12 door • All ages (13+).
