Last Saturday, the 2017 Stamp Out Hunger food drive (the largest single-day food drive in the US) brought in a total of 175,600 pounds in the Albuquerque area including Rio Rancho. Every year, the drive is operated by the Roadrunner Food Bank.

Food News Breaking The Rules Makes Food Taste Better

When the city put a “no left turn” sign for drivers heading west on Central right in front of Garcia’s Kitchen (1736 Central SW), the restaurant put up its own sign that seems to contradict the city’s with an “enter and exit” sign—right in front of the other one! KRQE made the helpful observation that “Police can ticket drivers who make the left turn, but that’s only if an officer happens to see it,” because apparrently they don’t think we have enough traffic violations in ABQ.
