This week’s Flyer on the Wall uses a surprisingly soft color palette to evoke visions of the old ones. Its artist may have figured some clever color psychology might soothe the frazzled nerves of apocalyptically minded heshers. I’ve personally always imagined Shoggoth to be blobby, throbbing and covered in blinking eyes. Lovecraftian metal crew Shoggoth make their full theatrical debut on Friday, Dec. 21 at Sister (407 Central NW). Mesa, Ariz. punks Hate Everything and earplug-friendly scene stalwarts Black Maria round out the 21-and-over concert. The end-of-days recital kicks off at 9 p.m. and admission is $5.
