Attention: Because our precognitive powers and general omnipotence here at the Alibi is not yet well-honed, be advised that anyone with good local music news, information, photos, miscellaneous (anything!) should send the goods to cassyle@alibi.com for consideration. Also be advised that we make no promises. Deadlines are Thursday afternoon the week prior to the date of publication. More specifically, we would like local bands to send us flyers (as often as you like) for a new flyer-of-the-week section. Ideally flyers will have at least one of the following qualities: artistically adept, humorous, unusual or just strange. Deadlines are Thursday afternoon the week prior to the issue you’d like to appear in.

Music To Your Ears

Bilingual, politically-charged alternative rock purveyors Stoic Frame are back in New Mexico to entertain their “fellow desierto locos” this week. On top of a show at the Launchpad on Friday with Red Earth and La Junta, a show in Belen on Saturday and a show in Grants on Thursday (according to the band, the Grants scene is hot, who knew?), they will be playing an additional all-ages show at the Zone on San Mateo this Saturday with Desolate, Astray and Savage Wisdom. The Zone performance is from 4 to 8 p.m. and is free. Kudos to the Zone for providing the under 21-ers of Albuquerque with so much free rock! Also, you can pick up Stoic Frame's new album, Justicia, at any Hastings in the state. Bitchin'.
