Babyzilla Twangy thrash trio Leeches of Lore, self-described “high desert rock” threesome Night Terrain, experimental duo Teetotum and punk group Baked appear on Friday night at Burt’s Tiki Lounge at 10 p.m. This free, 21-and-over show should elicit both rapt silence and enthusiastic signs of the horn. In other Leeches of Lore news, the band is partnering with New Mexico production company Solano Pictures to fund a music video featuring “a baby, dressed as a dinosaur, destroying a city of cake.” The “Babyzilla” partnership is raising filmmaking funds through an IndieGoGo campaign. Moldspores has already featured some intriguing performers, like eccentric songwriter Larkin Grimm and prodigal, former Burqueño indie-folkster Fast Heart Mart. Dirty Stories ABQ Zine Fest will host its second annual dirty zine reading, Lip Service, at Winning Coffee Co. on Valentine’s Day. In addition to heart-quickening stories, Oakland-based experimental feminist sound artist Annah Anti-Palindrome, Seattle-based solo accordion and vox project On a Clear Day, and local trickster duo The Jeebies are set to perform on Tuesday night. DJ Mello will spin dirty records between readings. Entry is by sliding-scale donation, from $5 to $15. There may be a puppet show, but event organizers note that this “grown-ass people’s event” isn’t appropriate for the wee ones. Readings commence at 7 p.m.
