The Mindy Set can be easily described by someone who is not in the band; for those of us who are, we prefer poptastic, or pop-a-riffic. But in all honesty, we would have to say that we are influenced heavily by genres such as new wave, shoe gaze and British pop.
2) Is your music more power ballad or slow jam?
The Mindy Set is definitely a power-jam-slow-ballad type-band.
3) What can you tell us about your Austin brethren, The Onlys?
The Onlys are a great up-and-coming band. They rock, rock and often rock. It will be great to see them perform again with the rest of the Detach artists.
4) What are the Mindy Set’s feelings on hot air balloons?
Hot air balloons can be really scary and often invade the space over my backyard. This year we will be prepared. Bring it, giant milk cow!!!
