Earlier this week, Smith’s grocery stores donated more than 430 gallons of milk to the Roadrunner Food Bank. The donation kicks off the “Great American Milk Drive.” The drive gives Smith’s customers a chance to donate $1, $3 or $5 at checkout to help deliver milk to a local family in need through Sept. 9.

It’s official: Dion’s has released green chile ranch dressing at all their N.M. locations this week. A special bottle of the stuff was sent to me last week by the good people at Dion’s, and it did not disappoint. We didn’t have anything around for dipping, so the Alibi staff just scooped it with spoons. Really.

Food News There’s Love In The Sauce

Sauce Pizza and Wine ( 2100 Louisiana NE Suite 810) teaming up with UNM Children’s Hospital for the “Every Bite Counts” campaign. In honor of childhood cancer awareness month, 100 percent of proceeds from the Sauce kids menu will be donated to UNM Children’s Hospital. The promotion runs September 11th through 17th.
